Friday Funnies (Not)

First, there's nothing funny about the snow from last weekend's snowstorm, which will be around for quite a while. Nashua, NH, received about 20 inches total.
There's so much remaining in downtown Nashua that these sidewalk snow banks will most likely be carted away over the weekend. In the past, the city has done the same trucking the snow to fields of a nearby park These images were taken yesterday when I walked to the library. Most city sidewalks had a packed snow cover.
Snow clearing began at the mill apartments on Tuesday morning after the storm. This is the parking lot in the front of the building. The reason for no cars is that residents had to move them by 8 am for snow plowing. Most times, my photos show of the back of the mill buildings as that's our view with of the Nashua River and downtown.
These snow piles were in the parking lot of a shopping plaza which houses a supermarket, gym, restaurants and a few retail stores. The parking areas were completely clear of snow on Wednesday.
Brrr it's really cold outside. Temperatures this week have remained frigid in the single digits overnight and barely getting 20 degrees during daytime hours. The snow will not be melting a lot until possibly next week when temps are predicted to be in the mid 30s.

Enough. That's it for snow photos until the next storm, which hopefully won't be too soon.

Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
We're going on a short road trip next week to celebrate my 🎂🎉

We walked yesterday for the first time this week. Cold with the wind so high made it too dangerous before yesterday. Stay cozy!

...wow, both of us are having "old fashion" winters. Stay warm and well.

I transgressed behind mill apartments yesterday to get my dam photos.

I think this does qualify as A LOT of snow!

Oh my, you sure have a lot of snow already...and maybe more this weekend. We're snow-free until tomorrow though cold! Hope the electricity keeps connected.

The pike are crazy everywhere and city streets are so narrow. I'm glad this next storm (and keeping my fingers crossed) heads out to sea like they are saying. We don't need another huge dumping. Stay warm today.

Hope the road trip takes you to a warmer climate but that may be farther than you want to travel.

I honestly feel for you. It has been a weird winter for the whole country. Stay safe and warm.

We received the same amount of snow, but unfortunately, it has continued to snow everyday since. Our roads and parking areas are still snow covered. I'm impressed that they truck away the snow! That is not something that happens here.

Those icicles are dangerous weapons! That is so much snow. Here, we got mostly ice. Some places have 6 inches of ice, and we have not been able to get out.

Down here in the South we had it as an ice storm. Ice coated trees and everything. Caused many power outages (for us just 4 hours of misery). That snow in your photos looks good. Too bad it came in such a quantity. Hope the next one this weekend will be less troublesome.

That is definitely a LOT of snow!! Wow! I think you will be watching that melt for a long time, provided you don't get more in this next storm this weekend. Still, your photos are wonderful and I enjoy seeing the snow...from a distance! Enjoy it for us. And happy upcoming birthday! Can't wait to hear all about your next trip! Blessings to you both.

That is a lot of snow for sure-we have lived through storms like that-guess it makes sense being our mid '70's now-more difficult to manage in our senior years for sure it is beautiful though

OMG!! That is a Lot of snow... and the icicles look so pretty. Living in Florida we don't get snow but Miami is supposed to be in the lower 30's Sunday morning.

I am glad that you got out and took some photographs. We have all had an old fashioned snowy winter this year, based on the many pictures from different regions of the continent.

You got some great photo's. 20 inches wow...we got 11.5 at home and I was glad we weren't there to deal with it. If everyone had to move their cars, where did they move them with all that snow that had to be a job. Stay warm and be careful out there walking, no falling.

awesome captures...it is just like that here. we have not been able to shovel our front walk and only have a small path on the driveway. the icicles are so pretty but they can be sharp. have fun on your adventure, wishing you an early happy birthday!!!
and in response to the comment you left for me: i use a point and shoot camera. a nikon coolpix p950, it has one attached lens 4.4 - 357 mm zoom. the feeders are suction cupped to my windows and the birds sit in the very nearby trees and shrubs. the hubs set it up for me and it's a great setup.
have a blast!!

BRrrrr that's all I can say !
Amazing shots of all of the snow right in your "yard".
I'm glad you could get out and walk a bit but it looks pretty slick to me.
Stay warm and enjoy your few days away to celebrate your birthday.

So much snow!! I like snow, but only on day one, then it start to annoy me because walkways are not cleared,

I like the cleansing effect of snow and we normally get loads out here on the rock but everywhere else has beaten us in quantity this year. I love your shots, the purification of them. Mountainous though they may be.

Awesome photos.

We still have tons of snow around New York and with the freezing temperatures, it ain't going anywhere anytime soon.

On the plus side, we have 46 days until spring...

Oh wow, I can feel the chill just reading this! ❄️🥶 I love how vividly you paint the cold and snowy scene — those single digits overnight and barely 20s during the day really drive it home. Your note about giving a break from snow photos made me smile too; it’s such a relatable way to capture winter fatigue while still appreciating its beauty. Stay warm out there! 🧤☕✨

My goodness that's a lot of snow but I would be more worried about those icicles. I'm sure people do take care around them. Stay safe and warm!
