Friday Funnies

This photo gives an entirely new meaning to the term, shoe tree.
Not sure how or why, but this was exactly what was seen in front of a downtown restaurant on Main Street in Nashua, NH, earlier this week.

Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
Our holiday decos will be taken down this weekend (sigh)
Only 343 days until Christmas as of today

I'll never understand how people lose one shoe!

...someone is hopping around on one foot!

I think it was thrown out of a car window, or fell out of a car onto a sidewalk, and someone sat it there to hope the person who lost it will see it. it happens a lot here, people stop and pick up lost items and lean on poles. that said, I have never seen one in a tree pot. ha ha

How odd not to realize you lost your shoe!

I’d never think to look for a missing sneaker there.

I don't even want to think how a shoe could end up there.

Strange place for a shoe! And in the dead of winter too! I can't imagine they are barefoot! Maybe they switched to boots and lost a shoe in the process! Who knows? The Shoe Tree Knows. Muaaaaaa

I like shoe tree. It sounds like a good name for a band.

Maybe someone with an odd sense of humour left it there deliberately.

I would definitely notice if I lost a shoe.

Hi Dorothy! If they made the shoe a planter for a small starter house plant, then it would really be a shoe tree -- I suspect most people didn't pick up on the visual pun -- I haven't actually seen a shoetree for a while. Do people still use them? I just throw mine in the closet :).... as for one lost shoe -- my son as a toddler once threw a shoe out the window of the car -- we stopped and went back and searched for an hour until we found it! Shoes cost good money ))

That's a rather handsome tree. Yes, how does a person lose just one shoe?

Imagine retracing your steps looking for a missing shoe — and never thinking to check a flower pot in a tree! 🤣
