Friday Funnies

Continuing with my penchant of looking and finding vanity car plates, I was on the lookout during our recent road trip. Here's a few seen on Prince Edward Island, Canada.

These were seen during our road travels in Maine.
Now, that I have started looking for these personalized plates, it seems there's no shortage of them whether on the roadways or in parking lots. And, it can be challenging to figure out the meaning of some.

Like many of you, I too am unsure about the meaning of so many often seen as it seems every vehicle owner has his or her own agenda in creating a plate. Several above maybe are easier to figure out: Crazy Nan (CRZYNAN), Bizarre (BZCR), sports team fan? (CUBS1). These are just a guess on my part, maybe you have other thoughts.
Warm weather has arrived, and our exterior apt decor is ready for summer as well 🏖️

Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
A new month will be starting, welcome summer 😎

The one that appealed to me most was owned by a member of a symphony orchestra that ai knew. His licence plate said “Opus.”

I got stuck on BZCR, too. ;)

I also didn't get many of them. But I don't do well at word puzzles either.

I like your summer decor. I was never fond of vanity plates. They are often difficult to decipher.....Some of them are funny, but I prefer not to draw attention to myself.

Folks, I Do agree with many of your comments that some (many) vanity plates can be puzzling to figure out, others not so much. In reply to those who wondered about BZCR, it seems to me like bizarre, but bagain just a guess...maybe buzz car?

I have the most questions for JellyCar? Haaha, are they a huge fruit preserves fan or is there some other meaning?

This is summer on a table! So creative. You found some good tags for sure. My favorite is SHOPCAT. I love looking for them as well. I have a photo file of them in my laptop; don't know why I never post any!

Maybe BZCR stands for "Business Car". That's what I think. That's the car used for business! I love looking a license plates. I used to be able to identify each state by their plate, but now with so many specialty plates it is really hard to identify them. When we were kids traveling for summer vacation we would play road games, and one was calling out/claiming certain tags to see who would get them first. Then we also played a game called "Horse", counting horses and horse farms, and if you saw a cemetery you could yell "Cemetery, bury your horses" and the other "team" had to surrender all their horses! There was also an alphabet game. Lots of fun ways to pass the hours on a long, boring and hot trip before car ac. And 4 kids in the car with two adults. Yep! Those were the days.
Oh, I love your seascape decor! Happy Summertime!

I just like seeing the design of the license plates. Main is familiar, but not the others. Have a super start to June. hugs-Erika

Sounds like you had a great trip. We were there in '22 for the first time. Nova Scotia and PEI had been on our bucket list for long time.

The only car plate I would like is one saying "Keep Your Distance".

Great post, Beatrice!
Vanity plates are so fun to decipher—'BZCR' as 'bizarre' makes sense to me. Love your summer decor idea too.

Here's to more sunny days and fun road trips!

You have a good eye for it. BZCR = Buzz Car? Fascinating to try to figure them out. We have a vanity plate, designed by my engineer husband, that has our initials on it. Easy for the police, I guess.

I can rarely work out what they mean. Love the summer decoration.
