Friday Funnies

Here's some toilet humor that flushed a laugh out of us.
This image was sent by our friend, Thomas, who spotted it in the restroom at the Tumalo Feed Co. Steakhouse in Bend, OR.
The original building was erected in 1965 to evoke the spirit of the old wild west straight out of the 1880s. The building known as the Tumalo Emporium was an antique business. By 1967, the business evolved to become a well-known landmark restaurant known for its buffet dinners, lavish waitress attire of long gowns out of the 1800s, and a 1950s style soda fountain.

FYI If you plan on dining here, the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday and doesn't accept reservations.

I'd love to meet the woman who had to kiss a guy who chewed tobacco - or are there women who chewed too?

Nice looking steakhouse, and I wouldn't have seen the sign about spitting tobacco. I have a woman friend who's hubby chews, and carries a soda bottle to spit in, that has a screw top and he just gets another bottle when that's full. I guess it just goes in the trash. Kissing? I'll have to ask her.

HA!! I know people who chew. I don't get it, what made you take that first bite?

It’s more bizarre to me that they are advertising Mountain Oysters as their specialty. No thank you!

I wonder if people still chew tobacco??? Looks like a very interesting place.

Yikes! People who chew tobacco probably won't read the sign either...chewing is a nasty habit that leads to serious mouth/tongue/throat cancers. Some people have lost half of their faces to the cancers that come from chewing. Sad sad sad. Oh well...I love the looks of that restaurant and would enjoy visiting it. Mountain oysters, huh? Hmmm, don't think I want to try those...LOL. But I love the idea of the 1880's decor/dress and also the 1950's soda fountain. Too bad this is in Oregon...I'll probably never get that far across the country. But it does sound like a fun place to visit. Thanks for sharing. Gave us some real "food" for thought today! LOL

My granny dipped snuff and I can't think of anything nastier! Good grief! Her snuff came in small 8 oz jars and guess what they were used for? Kids drinking glasses!!

Dear Dorothy I don't know if the my father used to keep In mouth was tobacco or not but I adore your friend who shared this funny image with you :)

I wonder how they figured that out! Sounds like it might have happened more than once!

The restaurant has a nice, friendly facade! I don't find any humor when it comes to tobacco and its derivates. I wish people neither use nor mention tobacco.

That reminds me of the old limerick:
There was a young man from Darjeeling
Who got on a bus bound for Ealing
It said on the door
Don't spit on the floor
So he got up and spat on the ceiling
