Friday Funnies

Something I saw on display recently struck me as unusual (just saying). Although its contents are not listed on this side panel, there was a clock in this package.
Feel free to comment. At least the package and product design was credited to the U.S.A.

My purpose in posting this image is that many people may try to find products made in their respective country. Seeing product labeling like this seems somehow misleading.

In the interest of fairness, Kole Imports is a family owned and operated wholesale merchandise distribution business based in Los Angeles, CA. It began in the 1980s when two brothers, Rob and Danny Kole, sold tools and hardware at venues in San Diego, CA. Business expanded and the they began importing directly from the Orient founding Kole Imports in 1985 expanding their product line to multiple categories of general merchandise. Kole Imports inventory lists over 10,000 items, selling them worldwide to over 100 countries.

Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
Stay Cool. It's been a hot week here as in many states

Yes, the fact that American is larger and bolder than the Made in China acknowledges that they know people don’t want Chinese products. Who are they fooling?

Wow! That is a lot of hot weather coming your way this week. We're getting some hot weather too, but not nearly as bad as it was about a month ago.

i have seen this on several items in walmart, and to me if it is made in china it is made in china, the AMERICAN company if farming out the cheap labor to China and to me it is not American. they thing this will help sell to people who want made in usa which is hard to find these days.

A very interesting label indeed. I'll have to take a closer look at the labels when I buy things. It's very hot here too. Not fun, but we will get through it. You have a super day my friend, hugs, Edna B.

We live in a global economy these days; even if you buy a product assembled in your own country you'll often find that components are imported from elsewhere. The companies we should be wary of buying from are those multi-nationals who fail to pay their fair share of tax in any country.

It is a funny label. Definitely worth paying attention.

Nothing unusual about this label. Things are manufactured in China; sometimes the design of the product is american or european as ordered by the respective companies.
Our candles for the holidays, for example, are manufactured in China; the importing company sends them when ordering, the desired design with instructions.

It's a disingenuous label designed to misrepresent. I have many things in my home that were Made in China. It's nearly impossible to find things solely made in the USA. The most concerning to me are foodstuffs, canned goods specifically, and medications.

Considering the way China has behaved for years, it would be wise of the rest of the world to start distancing themselves from that regime.

Seems like everything is made in China these days!!

US company designs and has China make the product and then ship back so US company so they can can package it...not unusual. Confusing, though.

Misleading unless you are alert on these matters.

Yes it pays to read labels carefully.

If the pandemic has taught us anything it is that ceasing to manufacture almost anything carries a high price,

Many British products are much the same - promoted as Product of the UK when in fact they're made in China. What amazes me is that even with the cost of shipping from China, they're still cheaper than something UK-made.

Quite. a representative label, isn't it? So many products are made in multiple different countries and raw products are sourced in yet other countries.

I once had a this defective computer from a company I will not name (Rhymes with "Hell")

I was constantly calling their tech support people because the computer kept breaking down, but they could barely speak English. And yet this company had the gall to display a huge American flag on the website.
