Autumn is Outside Our Door
Autumn has arrived and that means changing the decorations outside our apartment entry. Since we don't decorate for the season inside the apartment, this grouping greets us (and others) daily. The tall scarecrows, which have been hanging out for several fall seasons, were joined by a couple of smaller versions this year.
This frog and penguin always hang out outside our door and also have some companions.
There's more scarecrows and pumpkins on the walls and our front door.
This overall photo shows the entire seasonal scheme, which was really low-cost. All the scarecrows, pumpkins, fall leaves, and wall plaques were from a local dollar store. The penguin and frog statues and the garden flags traveled from VA with us.

we have fall leaves out side our door, if fallen leaves that have blown on the porch count. ha ha.... this looks good. perfect spot to decorate and others can enjoy and it doesn't take up space inside..

here no such tradition until now (kids are naughty out there to grab or spoil things :)
though in villages where people are more familiar to each other various scarecrows are common close to fields

Such a welcoming sight! Only recently have I discovered what fun items can be fond at the Dollar Store. No guilt … lol!

No fall decorations- I seem to be really terrible at the seasonal decorating thing. I was thinking that I should go get a couple pots of mums for our front steps - we’ll see... your decorations look so cheerful!

I really like the pictures with this post. Autumn colours are my favourites. I am not quite ready for Fall but will enjoy it when it comes. We in the UK haven't had much of a summer so I could do with some autumn brightness.
