Limited Unlimited

Keep 'Em Coming . . .

Those were the key words at IHOP® restaurants the past few weeks.

WHY?

IHOP brought back its now annual All You Can Eat pancake promotion — just in time to sideline some weight-loss resolutions (ours included).

Under the promotion, you choose either a stack of five of the chain's signature buttermilk pancakes or a short stack of two pancakes with a combo plate of eggs, hash browns, and choice of breakfast meats. After you polish off the pancakes, you can keep getting two more until you've had your fill — however many it takes. Don't worry IF you didn't want to fall for this temptation, the promo ends today, Feb 8.

Grenville and I managed to get in on it (just in time) this past Friday.

HOW many pancakes did we collectively down?
Too many. Our total fell short of the 15 pancakes our server told us that a college student had recently downed. Between us, we managed to consume 13 pancakes, which served as breakfast and lunch. Not the healthiest of choices, we know, but it's only once a year (thankfully) and the first time we visited an IHOP in over 5 months, so no excuses needed (or made).
They tasted g-o-o-d and admittedly we were gluttons for this visit.
IF you missed this event and would like to get in on a free pancake offer, you're in luck as there's another IHOP tradition coming up on Tuesday, March 3, for National Pancake Day. During this one-day event, over 1,500 IHOP restaurants country-wide will invite folks to enjoy a complimentary stack of their signature buttermilk pancakes from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. It's also the company's largest annual philanthropic event.
While the pancakes are free, pancake eaters will be invited encouraged to make a voluntary suggested contribution of $5 to their local Children's Miracle Hospital.
Those who make a donation in this amount receive a coupon for a $5 discount on a future IHOP visit.
So, not only will the pancakes be free, but funds raised will go to a good cause too.

Now that is a good cause. Good for IHOP! I am impressed with how many pancakes you two ate :)

Looks good. I am beginning to get anxious about making the trip out to Wheelers. Perhaps in March Break with the kids.

I love their pancakes, but not sure if i could eat more than four of them. once we went to all you can eat pancaakes at the Cafe on the beach, outside tables on the beach and just keep going back for more. the thing is each pancake was the size of the plate. i only ate 2.

Oh, we just LOVE IHop! :) We'll be stopping at our GA IHop again soon on our trip South later this month. We stop there so often that they recognize us - even though we are only there every ten weeks as we go to and from FL.

I love IHOP. But I do not like pancakes. Isn't that odd? They have a good many other breakfast combinations and I enjoy them immensely.

I find the pancakes a bit dry, so need to "drown" them in something to make them go down a bit easier.....we usually do visit IHop though when visit the States.

I love pancakes, but I try not to eat them very often. Those look so good! I like the idea of the promotion for charity that they have coming up.

I agree that a little indulgence is good every now and again!

Looks good, but no IHOPs here. Guess I'll have to make my own to get the all-you-can eat experience. I won't have to mix up too many as we'll reach that point pretty quickly. Strange how that happens as you get older.....

A son of a friend of mine works at an IHOP in St. Louis. We don't get the chain up here, but we do have something called the Golden Griddle that serves much the same.

Although I like IHOP, their food doesn't always like me! My husband usually gets the all you can eat pancakes. He can finish off a lot, but not 15. That's a good deal for Pancake Day. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it.

My mouth is literally watering! As much as I love crepes, I would never turn down warm buttermilk pancakes! and boy have I been craving them. Wish I had known about this annual event when I was in the States... ! p.s. hope you stay safe and warm under all that snow...

That would be something I would have loved to go to :-) I would have started with the five buttermilk ones :-)

I saw that promo advertised on TV. So glad I missed it. I can put away pancakes like there's no tomorrow.
