Another Thought (after the fact sort of)
If you are unfortunate enough to have no one in your life for Valentines Day, why not go out today and
They don't have to be spectacular. They don't have to be expensive. Just a smile, holding a door, a thank you, a hello how ya doing???
Or a bold approach,,,,,, Tell someone they look lovely, even if they don't.

A Random Act of Kindness can change someone's whole day. A whole day can change the week which changes the month which changes the year which.. well you get the idea. It takes nothing away from the giver and gives so much to the recipient. That is a wonderful sign. I would like to see more of them.

Catching up. I was 4 posts behind.
We are not getting the wallopings that you are, but it has been the coldest winter since 1994. "Today is #Ottawa's 24th day since Jan 1 with temps below -20°C. Most since 1994."
It's the windchill today that brought the effective temperature down to ~-35C. So, we won't be going out although we did take the munchkins tobogganing yesterday. And we got into town for lunch and a movie on Friday for our slightly early celebration.
