And there’s no joking about that even if today is the 1st of April – also known as April Fools Day. This date is recognized worldwide as a day for practical jokes. To learn more about its origins, visit Coffee with the Hermit where fellow blogger Hermit Jim has posted info on its origins.
Lately, it seems that Mother Nature has been joking with the weather. A few weeks ago the VA Eastern Shore and many other states were basking in summer-like temps. All that has changed the past few days; our daytime highs have only reached the mid-60s with night temps being in the mid-40s.
Maybe that’s WHY the flowers were looking strange when I walked around the yard . . .
What do you think?

I can tell you one guy who wouldn't be complaining about those temperatures.
Please stop sending that weather over here. You are confusing my plants.
Yes, this weather does seem like a cruel April Fools joke....wonder how many days the joke will last. Your flowes seem confused =)
I have been excited on any blossoms, barely having any garden going yet.
It has been cool enuf for the heat to come on... surprise!
But my peas are up to the first string and onions 6 inches high!
The azaleas started to open last week, so much beauty, and I am not foolin'!
poor flowers have no idea what they are supposed to do with the weather swings.
Nice pictures, but some are ?strange? LOL!
Your weather must be much like ours here in the Midwest. Last week we had some days in the upper 70s and lower 80s, now back to "real" spring weather. Love it!
Hi Daisy, Elaine, AC, John, Doris, Steve, Possum, Sandra, and Jimmie Earl -- as you all might have figured out I was just having some photo fun with the special effects in Picassa. It's amazing how these effects can be created so easily and these didn't "fool" anyone for certain, but I had fun.
