There’s been various small and very colorful visitors in the F&P wildflower gardens this summer. Before the weather turned beastly hot, I spent time outdoors and here are some “portraits.”
It’s really the small things that are most amazing.
Beatrice, I'm so glad you found my blog and dropped and left a comment. These are some beauties. I especially love the top bee and all the dragon flies. Incredible macros!
Great photo´s! I just love dragonflies, but they are a bitv to fast for my camera :-) Your butterflies are so beautiful! Ours are mostly less colorful and those that are colorful usually keep their wings together when sitting still :-) Have a great day now! Christer.
Thanks, Jim and I've also been enjoying the photos you've been posting on your travels.
Mona, coming from another talented photographer, that's a very nice comnpliment, THANKS!
Scott, I enjoyed your blog and do plan to revisit often and hope you will do the same. I am very slowly working on my own photo blog. It has a name, but nothing else. I will let you know when it's at least functional. In the meantime, I will continue posting photos here and hope you revisit us.
Christer, these dragonflies were very good models and sat there, maybe because it was (still is) very hot. Catching butterflies with their wings open in full display can be tricky, I agree.
Hi AC, and to think that I was envious of the beautiful shots of your photogenic grandkids, especially "the boy." These close-ups were taken with an older Fuji (Finepix 7000) 6 MP digital point and shoot which has a terrific macro setting and a built in zoom. It's actually my camera of choice for wandering around the yard. Thanks for the compliment :-)
Elaine, the compliment from a skilled photographer such as yourself is much appreciated! I relaly enjoy seeing your shots of flowers and birds. Thanks for sharing too :-)
