Just wondering . . .
IF this where in the BIG Macs come in
OR is this the new drive-thru entrance ?
Actually, it’s neither because starting this week, the local McDonald’s on Rte. 13 was being completely demolished and will be replaced with a BIGGER place over the next several months.
It’s one of those fast-food places we never go to eat, but lots of local folks and highway travellers will have to wait awhile to get their Big Mac & fries.
I never eat there either... We don't do fast food... the big loss is in meals taxes for the town.
that is a cool photo. so they are making it bigger and better and spending more money, Americans always have to have bigger/better no matter what the economy is. she is right about the taxes, had not thought of that.
Haven 't eaten at MacDonalds since I was in my 20s and then only because I went with someone who had kids. I too don't do fast food.
I don´t remember how long ago it was since I ate at Mac Donalds :-) They do perfect french fries though, that I have to admit, but if I go to any fast food place it will be Burger King or the swedish MAX.Have a great day!Christer.
I couldn't believe it when I saw it yesterday. I rode by. This is the busy season here too.. I don't understand why not just add on..happy weekend, Diana
wow. surprised they'd demolish one without having another already in place!
It will be gone and a new replaced before you can blink! Fast food, fast re-do!
HA! Great captions for that first picture. I love a good pun. :D
Perhaps they needed to enlarge the door for their most frequent customers....I haven't been in a MDs for many many years. I'd much rather have a helping of your tropical shrimp & rice.
We don't do fast food places either if we can avoid it. But I have eaten McDonald's french fries which I rather liked.
I do enjoy the occasional burger and chips. Burger King is my favourite.
Hi Everyone, glad you enjoyed this visual funny. It seems that McD would not stay in business, waiting for all of us to go there.Christer and Mona, we agree that sometimes FF taste good, especially since we don't make them at home.Texwis, the plan is to rebuild in the same location and as Keathleen noted it will likely be BIGGER, but not necessaily better.Possum is right about the meal tax loss for the town, temporarily. It's expected to reopen by early fall.
Neat shots. Our's began as a cowboy place. Saddles for seats and western themed from bathroom to counter. Then they changed that several times to what it is today and it might be one that gets that axe too as it is beginning to show it has gray hairs everywhere.
It's been awhile for us to taste a Big Mac, too. It's not one of our regular stops, that's for sure. We're Ihop people when we are on the road. ;)
