Friday Funnies

It's been a while for a Friday Funnies with photos of recently seen vanity vehicle plates. Here's a random sampling of some spotted locally the past couple of months.

So a King, although the color on this ME plate (actual) seems more suited for the queen.
These two plates could belong to grandparents, happy to be at this stage of life.
And, these plates show the sports interest of their vehicle owners.
Here's a couple of fun plates, and wondered — Did the top one belong to an artist who doodles, and second to an owner of cats or lover of Kit Kat® candy?
Last (for this time) this vehicle plate was definitely selected for the business.

And, an update on my ongoing knee issue, which, thankfully, is not a case of needing a knee replacement. This week an X-ray showed a moderate degree of lateral patella tilting and mild patellar lateral sublaxation which translated means a displaced/dislocated knee cap. An appointment has been made for an orthopedic evaluation next week and possible physical therapy. Meanwhile, activities are being curtailed until an assessment is done. (To answer a query about how this injury occurred, its suspected to be over-use of the elliptical at the gym.)

I appreciate all your good wishes, but this setback will pass in time. My situation is very minor when compared to what some fellow bloggers have shared about difficult issues with their own health or that of loved ones. I encourage good thoughts and prayers for them. No links here out of respect for their privacy. You may recognize them from the sidebar list.

Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
My weekend will be R-I-C-E  (Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevate) & reading

I’m sorry to hear that your knee is going to need PT, but the bright side is indeed no surgery. The + sign after the KitKat makes me wonder what that’s about.

Funny plates!
So glad to hear you don't need surgery. That has to be such a relief.
I hope the PT works well and efficiently. :)

It took me a long time to figure out the first license plate.

Good luck with the assessment. PT has helped me a lot. The plates are fun to see.

Sorry about the knee, but glad to hear surgery won't be needed. PT is a good thing. Hope it all works out well for you. And you're right R I C E is the way to go. Best of luck going forward. Enjoyed the license plates. Never knew about the live free or die being on the plates for your state though. Will have to keep an eye open during my travels.

I have heard of a licence to print, but you print licences as it were.

Thanks for the plates. For once I could fathom all of them. And good PT can do great things for your knee, without surgery. I'm glad you checked promptly. And you're so nice to remember bloggers with more pressing health issues, sometimes both spouses, trying to help each other. We never know what other people might be dealing with.

I enjoyed all the license plates...so funny. But I am sorry to hear about your knee, but glad it doesn't need surgery. Praying the rest/icing/therapy will take care of it in time. Just try to go easy for a while!

You find the best license plates haha. I saw a reconstruction services truck the other day that was "FIXIT" which was funny. Hope you have a restful weekend & your knee will get feeling better!

Dear Dorothy I am sorry for you too are having knee issues!
Yes my x-ray showed same symptoms, slightly dislocated knee cap. The orthopaedic surgeon recommended the surgery as final option but I don’t think I should go for it hurriedly. According to my knowledge replacement does not guarantee the complete recovery sadly so I am hoping that some vitamin and exercise can help me to some extent 🥹
Sending love my heartfelt best wishes and I believe you will be sharing your experience as it will surely help me to guide towards right direction.
Lots of love, hugs and prayers 🙏🥹🥰♥️

It sounds like R.I.C.E. is the perfect prescription for you this weekend. Hope it will really help.
Love the license plates. The first one took me a long time but I think it says "Queen B"
Always fun to try to figure them out.
(((hugs)))

I am sorry about your knee, but great news about no surgery! So, do you remember a certain activity where it became dislocated, or was it something that just happened over time? Keep me posted!

Many thanks for sharing the plates.
Pleased you will not need surgery on your knee, I'm sure the PT will help... but for now R-I-C-E sounds a good idea.
Take care, sending my good wishes.

All the best Jan

Good luck with knee healing. I hope physical therapy works for you. I hope you stayed dry today.

Good that you don't need surgery. PT can be very effective. I do PT exercises almost every morning and they help me a lot both with my knees and sciatica. I hope you'll get a good therapist.

It is so good that you don't need surgery but it might take some time to get back to the right place. Yes there is always someone worse off than us.

As you know, David had a ruptured patellar tendon, which necessitated 3 surgeries and stays in a nursing home. I hope your issue is taken care of post-haste.

So sorry about the knee. I had double knee surgery several years ago and it was a nightmare. Thank God you don't need a knee replacement.
