There were a lot of guesses to the What Is This? in last week's Friday Funnies post.
Good news is that several folks were absolutely correct !
You ALL know who you are as there were quite a few, but the first one to ID it right on was Brenda, seconded by Sandra and then many others.
It just goes to show that fooling some folks can be tough. Still, it was fun to read the other IDs which included a lighthouse, tower. chimney stack, building vent and staircase rail.
Yes, it's an outdoor trash receptacle that was photographed in downtown Nashua, NH.

You tricked me! Now I see it!
Good one! Enjoyed this! Have a great week, you two!
I would have never guessed!
That was fun, yes, please do more. As soon as I saw the trash can guesses I thought oh, small, that must be right. I had your factory environment in mind, so wrong!
...I should have been able to figure that out!
I missed the post and guessing (still slow to get around) but it's a neat looking trash receptacle.
Nice pics of Nashua River with snow/ice, although I am looking forward to better weather.
Have a great week!

I admire your powers of observation. So many people would walk right by such an interesting shadow.
I've seen many of those trash containers. I knew right away! I like you observations and am not always aware like I was this time.
What a great shadow.
Photography is a lot about observation and seeing things in and out of context that others don't see. Well done, I doubt I would have been able to see this the way you did.
That one is prettier than most! :)
Oh my GOSH! I mistook a trash can for a lighthouse!!!!
I love the strange and interesting out of the ordinary..I am doing the same thing all the time.
Looking forward to more in the future.

This is a good one!
It makes such a good shadow.
All the best Jan
Fun picture! I like having such puzzles to try to solve. Thank you!!
if I walked past that trash can I would have at least a dozen pics of it... the ordinary is what catches my eye and even more so when sunshine and shadows are involved
Hahaha very clever!
I didn't see your Friday post, but of course I went back to it. Very clever photo! I'm not sure I would have solved that quiz. I also love the photos of the frozen river in the Friday post. In Tübingen where I lived for 22 years, the river would froze completely in very cold winters and we could skate on it. Being Germans, quickly a booth that sold Glühwein (mulled wine) was erected at the shore, so after skating we would stand in the cold and drink hot Glühwein. Making the best of a freezing winter day. Back then I was still riding my bike in those conditions - well, I was much much younger then. Enjoy your week! Hugs - Carola
