I have absolutely no clue. It was on a sidewalk with nothing nearby and no one near it.
Sometimes, things are just plain curious.
Thanks to everyone for your feedback on my previous post about the increasing amount of spam comments. I appreciate that many folks shared that comment moderation has helped, but still undecided about going that route.

maybe it was not real, but a sculpture art? someone thought it was an art piece? bat man used it to take off into the air? I am now dying to know who, what, when and why. we know the where. ha ha

a "Stairway to Heaven" perhaps? If you trip over it or climb it and fall off of it, it just might be! LOL. Regarding spammers, yes, I've had them, but not too terrible right now. I did use comment moderation for a long time, but decided to do without it and see how it went, and so far the spammers are about the same as before, and I just delete them as I see them. I try to check my comments frequently so I can catch them before they are there too long. Thankfully they haven't been anything ugly, just annoying. Have a wonderful rest of your visit with your family and friends. Enjoy every minute while you can. We just don't get enough time with loved ones anymore.
I just don’t want to go the ‘moderate every comment’ route. Usually, spam comes in stages and i can go a long time with more spam. I guess I can moderate after the fact more easily than having to approve every comment.
I like to moderate so I do not end up with hateful comments for others to see on my blog---I had lots of those during the election cycle moderating is pretty simple really curious about the ladder
hahaha...it is a nice ladder that clearly did not fall off of someone's truck. unless it did and someone set it up so it would be visible if the person comes back. i am happy to hear you are enjoying your time away!!
Perhaps the person who left the ladder there had been looking for the Stairway to Heaven...and eventually found it! :)

I don't like comment moderation, have never used it; and can't say I've noticed more spam. Hope I don't jinx myself, lol. The ladder is it outside of a business or a home? Weird for sure.

That ladder definitely has me curious! It’s one of those random, unexplained things that make you wonder what the story behind it is.
