A few song titles came to mind Hitchin' a Ride (by Vanity Fair 1969) and You Keep Me Hanging On (Supremes 1967) as well as Hang on Tight (Electric Light Orchestra 1981).
As always, feel free to add any of own song titles in the comments. There's quite a lot.

Sobering thought for the day — ready or not, Christmas arrives in 38 days.
Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
Mid 50s temps this weekend with rainy Saturday

I Love the autumn leaf hitchhiker! It's almost like he is hanging on, not wanting winter to come and take over! Although with mid 50's and rain I guess he's still safe for a little while! No, I am NOT ready for Christmas! Just let me get through Thanksgiving first, and then I will begin to think about Christmas! (Even though the "visions of sugarplums" are beginning to dance through my head as I think about all I need to be doing...LOL) Have a blessed and peaceful weekend and Happy Thanksgiving!
It’s barreling down on us, for sure!
Sobering to me! I'm not at all ready!
38 days??
This year has flown! Nice catch on the leaf.
I can let Thanksgiving slide on by. Good memories, but few expectations for each occasion. But Christmas/Solstice season is the biggie. I can't turn on the radio in the car without carols (and none of the nice religious oldies either!) Better start thinking about it...
Yikes, sloe down world!!
Love your Lone Leaf on the car..
My brain isn't in gear yet this morning..haven't got a song coming to mind yet.

This is the version of You Keep Me Hanging On that immediately comes to mind for me from 1967.

Vanilla Fudge!
I did a modern dance in gym class to the Fudge's version of Eleanor Rigby.

Supposed to choose a 2-3 minute song but I did the entire 8 minutes...miming isolation, sorrow...and died at the end...reaching out. Teenagers are so filled with angst sometimes. (Got an A+!)
You brought back old memories...with a leaf. ;)
too funny on the leaf. the only sobering thought for me that it is 38 days to Chrismtas is the fact a week after that is the year 2024! i will be 80 years on the planet having been born in 1944. yowsa!
Hitchin' A Ride is a great song. It makes me feel good.
Arghhhh. I've designed and printed my Christmas cards but they still have a long way to go to being sent: many to overseas. Tempus fugit.
I'm reminded of the singer/actor Leif Garrett! I had a crush on him when I was very young...and he was one of the hunks in the movie "The Outsiders"! ☺☺
The high winds on Saturday will take care of any leaves left on the trees. Have a great weekend.
No no no! I am not ready!
Hi Beatrice, I'd like to contribute a verse to the list of songs, but at this stage of life, I'm lucky if I can remember why I went from one room in our house to another... With the youngest grandkid being 20, Christmas isn't what it used to be. Laurie and I just hunker down at home for the holiday. Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
The best part of Christmas is that my family visit from interstate.
How about "Stuck on You 🍂" by Lionel Ritchie?
Love the photo, Dorothy.
Hugs and blessings
That's resilient.
