Friday Funnies

This utility box will never travel further than its current location, but it has traveled extensively through the stickers left on it.
This one was in downtown North Conway, NH. The snow had freshly fallen during our March visit as we connected with visiting friends. We didn't add any stickers, and it would have been difficult to find an open space, many of these were double and even triple-layered.

Regardless, it was interesting to see how many people did add one. I wondered if they were the same folks who place stickers on their cars and what it does to the car's finish.

How about You—sticker fan or not?

I would think it’s illegal to put something on a utility box.

I am definitely not a sticker fan. My car remains sticker-free and always will.

Cool decorations...in some towns they paint things on the utility boxes. Double cool with the snow piled around it. My new to me car won't have bumper stickers, like all my previous ones have had. That fad has died at least for me.

no stickers for us, no on cars or anything else. this looks like sticker graffiti. yes it ruins the paint. I once put a real estate magnent sign on the back door of my car and it ruined both doors. the sun bleached around it leaving a dark blotch when I pulled them off.
when we bought our corvette 30 plus years ago, bob said to the man, if there is a sticker or a sign with your name on this car anywhere at all, it will be a no sale. not even the tag holder.

I wonder if this means that they showed the box photos of these places. 🥸

Not a sticker fan, but that is cool to look at, I guess. ;)

It's kind of interesting but ...!!! Nope, not much of a sticker fan (except on an envelope!)

I noticed there were stickers on the post box I shared on a recent blog post and pleased they were removed. However it was interesting to see the stickers you shared as they're different to those seen in the UK.

Definitely not a sticker fan.

I don't mind a few stickers here and there, but that kind of deluge of stickers seems just ugly and pointless. Why do people want to deface public property like that? I feel the same about graffiti, which equally defaces public property - and sometimes private property as well.

I'm not a fan either. I guess the utility box won't rust because of all the "protection" on it..(:0)

I certainly wouldn't buy a sticker, in fact I hate it when I buy something that has a sticker on it; I just have to peel it off!

I am a fan of stickers on someone else's car. I like to read them. My car does not contain any reading material.

I am not a fan of stickers. Although I do like this idea.

Love the stickers…grandsons put on back of camper top on dad’s truck…our cars have none…theirs are travel…hope they get cute ones in Ireland this summer. Florida residents seem to like them…I do not like political ones. Love your blog.

I've been known to put them in the garage though must admit to having an Obama sticker when he ran in 08.

Forgot to say on my car!

I am not a fan. The nearest I'd come is magnets on my fridge.

We do not put stickers on our car, but I think this particular stickered up utility box is kind of interesting. North Conway sees a lot of tourists and I guess the tourists want to show where they came from. It's better than writing your name in the public restroom stalls! LOL. Hopefully they don't put stickers on everything around town. Just this one spot is okay, but beyond that they should be verboden. LOL. Have a blessed week ahead. I enjoyed this because I used to live there in the area and can appreciate it for what it is.

Very nice!
A large fridge magnet that was on a phone book is now on my fridge covered with produce stickers several stickers thick. The edges sometimes curl, marking a spot for the next sticker.

A fun way to decorate the box!

Not for ourselves (I don't put anything on my bumper or house or car (except for the one on the windowshield that lets us into our gated park). But I do laugh when I see anything like what you show here. It's silly to do but funny to see. However, this also reminds me that my mother would have said "that's too much of a muchness!".

Not a sticker fan, but it's neat to see! ☺

I don't place stickers but I often photographs ones that I like. There's some pretty weird stuff sticking to lampposts, utility boxes, etc.

Hi Beatrice, No we're not sticker fans although I will admit some interest in reading the stickers on someone else's vehicle. Our son wishes that we weren't such photo fans...everywhere we go and almost everything we do. The good news for him is that I stopped having photos printed and then putting them in albums a few years ago. Even so, he'll end up sorting through or just tossing years of photos from my mother, my wife and myself...probably something between 14,000 and 15,000 of them! Take Care, Big Daddy Dave
