December Snow

Finally, the first snow of this winter holiday season arrived here in Nashua, NH, overnight this past Sunday evening into early Monday a.m. This was the early morning after-snow view from our apartment, an all too familiar scene to regular readers of this blog.
This first snowfall wasn't one for the record books coming in at just about an inch. Still. it was enough to cause havoc on the roadways with numerous accidents

While a bit more snow is forecast towards the end of this week, there's but no major storms or blizzards like in western states in recent days in the forecast.
Even areas in the UK have been hit with snow.

How about in your area, aside from those living in FL or other warm weather states, have you experienced any snowy weather yet?

As much as we would like to have a White Christmas, it would not be appreciated then  traveling to visit family this Christmas.

As always, thanks for your comments on the post showing our holiday decos. Several folks said we decorated quite a bit, but this really is less than other years. And to answer a blogger's question, yes, we do have a storage unit, thankfully not in the basement, but conveniently located on our apartment floor. Decorations are packed in containers and stored.

We are enjoying the snow here too. My walking group is heading out in it today on an old road.

Y'all have beautiful views. The old brick mills there represent well industrial New England history.
Same here a few hours north to the left, barely an inch covers the inch from the other day. The N'easter in the forecast will probably leave enough to last the holidays.

They say we're due this week or weekend with that storm moving across the country, though less so than some spots, I think. I hope! It seems like everyone forgets how to drive with the first snows!

No snow here yet, mainly rain, a little too warm for snow. I'm happy to postpone the first snow!

We had a good amount of snow in November, but nothing right now. I’m scared to look at the forecast.

We've had snow off and on since before Halloween. Have some right now. We need more than we will get, actually. Drought up here the last few years. I love watching it snow or even storm--from inside. ;)

Not cold enough right now here in Blue Ridge area of North Carolina. But I bet the ski slopes have made enough snow for vacationers.

No snow in this part of Kansas. Yesterday it was 60. This morning, 29. We don't often have a white Christmas.

No snow in our area. Snow is pretty, but I can't tolerate the cold.

We've had snow for a month. Yesterday was miserable. Rain, sleet then snow.

You have a wonderful view.

We've had snow several times this year. It is pretty. I hate trying to maneuver in it.

I used to pray for NO SNOW when family traveling from Indiana or from CA or Seattle...it is beautiful but so treacherous. The family in Indy doesn't travel on Christmas any more...here in Florida, we don't worry. Merry Christmas. I love the view from your apartment and enjoy your blog.

We usually have no snow here (warm country). Snow is a pretty sight, but I could do without it, as it's slippery and causes road accidents.

You have some beautiful shots. The tree was pretty. My storeroom is empty right now as all my decorations are now upstairs. I knew you had to have good storage.

We had snow earlier, but thank goodness it went away. I was worried for awhile because it was early. The inch or two that we got on the weekend will likely keep us white until March, especially since we are expecting a big one this weekend.

It sounds like we're getting a lot of snow this weekend, unless you live right at the coast. Let's see if they change the forecast tomorrow. They upped it in my area from 3-6 inches to 6-12. Oh boy. Hugs-Erika

It's comforting to hear that other countries besides the UK experience road chaos at the first sign of snow - I thought it was just us! Our snow is also supposed to all disappear before Christmas with temperatures of 13 C being forecast for Monday.

We have snow already and a major dump is forecast beginning later today. Road maintenance is usually fast and efficient, but I don't need to drive anywhere anyway. We will hunker down today.

We have snow on the ground, and a system coming in that'll bring us 15-20 centimeters over the next thirty six hours.

To me a White Christmas is magical, but I do think I like it from afar and on Christmas cards.
We have had several days of hard frost which kind of looks like snow at first glance. The temps. were 32F this morning. Been sick so I wasn't up early to snap the whiteness.
I love your view from your apartment.
Have to do some baking today so I best get going!

I haven't been leaving comments on blogs lately. I loved your Christmas decorations - - a lot of thought and creativity have gone into them. The snow scenes from your window are appropriate for this festive time of year.

The weather is predicted to be extremely cold next week here in TN with possible snow by Christmas.

You have such pretty views from your apartment! No snow here yet. Had lots of rain all day yesterday that froze on the trees. That was pretty! Was a good day for me to stay indoors.

You have a beautiful river view from your apartment, and how fun to see snow. Growing up in Wisconsin we always wanted snow for Christmas and always received it. Now I live in California and in my area it does not snow.
