Here's a couple of nature faces for this week's Friday Funnies. You're welcome to see if you can figure these out, answers next week (no prizes, just braggin' rights).
This alien looking image is a seed (by definition) that animals (and humans) enjoy, but not in this present state.
Did you figure these out?
The week slipped by with no time to work posts about our recent anniversary getaway within New England (NH and VT), but a couple are upcoming. We had an enjoyable time despite the hot and humid weather in advance of Hurricane Henri. Your well wishes were most appreciated.
This is the final 3-day holiday weekend of summer here in the U.S. Celebrated on Monday, Labor Day holiday marks the start of the school year for many. Stay safe if you are out and about as it's statistically one of the top three holiday weekends for accidents.
Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
We're going on a(nother) adventure; this time in MA

I recognize both those items!
Have a nice trip. We are expecting overnight guests on Monday - friends from MD who are up in Boston for a granddaughter's wedding that happened on Thursday.
Lovely peaceful evening shot of the town! Pastel colors equal peace somehow. Yes seeds and nuts are shapes we know.
That seedpod is such a great image. Nice find. And have fun on your MA adventure. I hope we get to see where you head out to. Happy long weekend. Hugs-Erika
The last picture is awesome! It has it all: water, sunset, green patches, houses.
Looking forward to your anniversary posts!
Pretty as a picture. Ida's passing was most unlike Henr's. She brought a cool snap.
I love these photos! That sunset view is so beautiful.
I have no idea what either of those photos are. But you should frame that last picture. It's so beautiful!
I am guessing that the first is some sort of milkweed pod. The second is definitely a walnut shell.
Milkweed and black walnut? Have a wonderful holiday weekend. We have our grandson’s 4th birthday and we are also hosting a memorial celebration for my husband’s aunt who passed away in January. She would have turned 100 in July.
I hope there is no flooding between you and MA... the photos and stories are really bad from Hurricane Ida.. stay safe and enjoy
Well, I can't figure out either of them. The first one looks like a man-eating plant from "The Little Shop of Horrors".
The second one reminds me of a skull-like Halloween face.
No, I can't identify either of those. Clearly I'm not sufficiently acquainted with the intricacies of nature!
I thought the second one was a skull!
I'm stumped on these.
Have a wonderful time! :)
I confessed I am stumped.
Have a great weekend!
I'll look forward to your answers because I don't have a clue! Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
i can't believe first one is a plant as you said "butterflies like this plant "
never saw plant like this around here ,it seems to have spider web within it's leaves i guess
the other one on first glance looks like a nose (laugh) but i think it is piece of wood if it is
looking forward to answers :)
glad you had nice time together ,such times help knitting a beautiful shawl of pretty memories which provides one coziness in busy or lone days :)
best wishes for next trip !
what a magical image from your apartment window wow !
i still remember the white washed snowy glimpse and by looking at this i felt like some fairy wave the magic wand and transformed the view instantly :)
health ,peace and happiness to you and yours!
Very interesting.
Enjoy that next trip. We're planning one soon, too.
I don't recognise either seedpods but my excuse is it is probably not from plants growing here in Scotland.
For a moment when I saw the second pic I wondered how you got a photo of me!!! :)
Enjoy your long weekend...take good care, Beatrice. :)
That last photo is stunning. I thought I knew what your plant was until I saw that seed pod, now I am not so sure. I feel like I recognize it but just can't pull it out of the hat. I look forward to learning its ID. Glad you are okay after the storm and I'm wishing you both happy and safe travels to Massachusetts.
Have fun on your next trip.
Two very interesting photos. I guessed them both. And I agree, that last photo is stunning. Enjoy your weekend getaway. Hugs, Edna B.
I don't recognize either one. :(
The last photo is amazing. Have fun in MA!
