Since we were out for errands on Monday, we had an ice cream lunch. A big plus to this outing was the absence of weekend crowds at a favorite local creamery. Yes, there were other folks there as well.
As you can see by the chocolate on my face, I'm an avowed (and proud of it) chocoholic. There are many reasons for liking chocolate; for example, chocolate comes from beans and beans are healthy for you. (You can rationalize any treat in a similar way.)
Here's some fun "reasons" for liking chocolate, but really none are needed.
Chocolate is the answer — who cares what the question is
Chocolate is not an addiction, it's a necessity
Come to the dark side — we have chocolate
Chocolate is cheaper than therapy, and you don't need an appointment
Chocolate — a delicious cure for a bad day (or any day)
A balanced diet is chocolate in both hands
If dark chocolate is less fattening, eat chocolate with the lights off
Everytime I hear the word exercise — I wash my mouth out with chocolate
All you need is love, but a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt
Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!
Either you love chocolate — or you're wrong
There's nothing better than a friend, unless it's a friend with chocolate
9 out of 10 people like chocolate. The 10th always lies
I'd stop eating chocolate, but I'm no quitter
Follow the bunny. He has the chocolate
You can't buy happiness, but you can buy chocolate, and that's sort of the same thing
Here's a couple of my personal favorites:
Chocolate is nature's way of making up for Mondays
Chocolate doesn't ask silly questions — chocolate understands

Hahaha! That ice cream lunch looks great, and I am definitely one of the 9 out of 10 who loves chocolate. Fun post. I enjoyed all the chocolate quotes.
As a humorous post, it's, of course, a great one!
On the more serious side, however,it should be mentioned that there are healthy foods(chocolate included)that might turn us into unhealthy and obese individuals. Examples: nuts, hummus, cake, avocado etc..
Life is indeed short, and I wish to be able to function (sans meds) for as long and as well as possible. Indulging in ice-cream, chocolate, cakes and all the other calorie rich items - won't help me much. I won't give them up, but sample them only now and then. Moderation is the key word.
When it comes to ice cream, I am a chocolate guy.
Thanks, Duta for your comment very wise observations. Most of the treats we really enjoy are unfortunately ones that are not the best for us in terms of calories or health. Indeed, moderation is key. We also try to be careful and understand about setting limits, but very now and then we admittedly (and shamefully) indulge ourselves.
Oh, I so understand! We, too, are chocolaholics. We have another fact that we quote often that could be added to your list. "Chocolate is a food group that is required daily."
that sundae looks like the perfect lunch to me and big enough to fill you up..i could have ice cream for any meal or in between
Ooooh yes, CHOCOLATE. Definitely MY favourite luxury.
Chocolate has never been a luxury. It has always been a necessity. And a good sundae is beneficial any day of the week.
I cannot be trusted around chocolate. :)
We had a neighbor in the past that said her family made home cranked ice cream for their Sunday meal. It started early summer and when it started getting cole in the fall they stopped. I think ice cream is a perfect meal.
I enjoy chocolate but not as much as my husband. He is a real chocoholic. I have to read these sayings to him. So cute!
I love chocolate too! And ice cream. I haven never been to Haywood Farms, it must be a local Nashua place. This cold makes it feel like we've gone back to April. But ice cream is always good, I agree. happy June. Hugs-Erika
I like chocolate candy but given a choice between chocolate or vanilla ice cream, I choose vanilla!
Cute chocolate sayings :))
Now that is my kind of lunch :)
Thanks for putting a smile on my face this morning - love the pic of the two of you with the sundaes. :) And I agree with Denise - my kind of lunch.
I remember once when I went to the theme park Six Flags Over Georgia with my (ex) husband and another couple. It was sizzling hot in July and they all wanted burgers and fries for lunch and looked on enviously at me as I had a ice cream sundae for lunch from the nearby Baskin Robbins stand.
