The view from our apartment window was much better yesterday morning despite the -5 degree temperature reading. Beneath that cover of white and the mill apartment shadow is the Nashua River.
Grenville, a former NJ firefighter, braved the cold to ensure that fire hydrants around the property were cleared of snow drifts. (He's a really
Frigid temperatures will continue here this weekend, but good news is that a warming trend arrives next week. We hope that others affected by wintry weather keep safe and warm. Thanks to all for your comments.

That's a wonderful and neighborly thing to do. I think both of you seem like the nicest people.
That storm was really something! I'm not sure what our final amount was at our Massachusetts home - somewhere between 12-18" - and it is sooooo cold! Stay warm!
what a great idea to clear those hydrants, the dogs will like it to..he he he... that is a lot of SNOW. and the temps are frightening to me, since the coldest i have ever been in is 16 above
It's going to be a little warmer here too. One day may actually inch above freezing. May. Inch.
I like the four pictures with the firefighter in fire preventing action. The dull snow and his colorful outfit make for a sharp contrast. Take care.
You certainly did get hit by that system. Here we got some light snow and the deep cold, but not the heavy snow along the seaboard.
I saw the news about the freezing cold and the snow storms in the USA. The wintery landscape looks nice but I am sure the extreme cold is no fun. I am glad it is about to warm up a bit for you. The amount of snow you have will take weeks to thaw! Keep warm and safe. x
That is a lot of snow and I hope Grenville is careful out there shoveling, that can be dangerous. We have the cold but not much snow thank goodness, but they are saying we might get some ice tomorrow. Hope that prediction is wrong! Ice is worse than snow. Stay warm and safe! xx Cheryl
You have such a nice view from your window. Hang on. We are beginning to have warmer temperatures. They will reach you soon.
That was a lot of snow and the temperatures are quite frightening. Here's hoping that there is a war front heading your way. Take care.
Good guy isn't the word...so I'm glad you changed it! The Pres would NOT...repeat WOULD NOT...do that!!!...:)JP
Your blue sky looks pretty. Yup. This is crazy cold. I have lived in New England all my life and don’t remember such a long cold spell. But I am looking forward to the warm up next week 😀 it will be nice to b able to go outside without feeling like a giant marshmallow. Stay warm and cozy and enjoy that view. Hugs Erika
One thing about weather conditions, it gives us something to write about! Our snow has gone but temperatures have fallen even lower and Jack Frost has visited with a vengeance. I have fires on but it's still cold in the house. I don't look forward to receiving heating bills! You have good neighbours, that's for sure.
That is a great guy!
It is finally a little warmer here today. That is a good deed Grenville is doing.
Yep, we did have something like that but it was two or three weeks ago. I hope you are warming up now.
Wow, that's a lot of snow.
