it is a good idea but sad that it is needed. I see this all the time, people walking from car to inside the stores tapping away

You wouldn't think a sign like this would be necessary, but it is growing more needed every day! We are indeed a distracted society.
Last week my friend saw a guy on her block walking down the street on his phone and walked right into a wall. Such a shame our society needs signs like the one you showed.
Quite sensible.
