So today we are having the "Storm before the Storm". We have been happily going from light snow, to sleet, to 'Freezing Drizzle' (a true anomaly for those of you in the Southern Regions). All in anticipation of tomorrows "Near Blizzard" conditions. ❄️❄️
BUT Beatrice and i are not stopped by a little chilly weather. A brisk walk Downtown at 16 F is a stroll in the park,,,,,,, no, no, no, that will be later on this afternoon when is starts to 'cool' off a bit. Here are a few Downtown shots from this morning.

Last weekend we watched folks plowing and shoveling snow off Lake Winnipesaukee
(Win-e-pas-akee)for a Hockey tournament.

Thursday we had a 13.4 inch snow fall. It was a nice day to stay in and watch. Thursday night and Friday morning the city moved most of the snow from the primary roads. Just a little slush left and some from this morning.
As usual on Saturday morning, Main St was busy, stores and resaurants were open, and folks were out and about.

Yes that is a pile of snow plowed up to clear the parking lot that you can't really see. Turning corners can be a real adventure here in the winter when the snow is piled up.
Tomorrow we are supposed to get another foot or so of light fluffy white stuff. Should be great day for Snow Shoeing in Mine Falls Park.
We were not the only intrepid souls out this morning. For most New Englanders, this is just another February Saturday Morning.

All that snow, my goodness. Over here in Hawaii, we are now experiencing a thunder storm. Rain, but no snow.
Beautiful weather! I am convinced that most television forecasters these days are spineless buffoons who seem to want to cause panics when they talk about winter weather.
We are expecting another storm tomorrow. It's at this point that I begin to tire of winter.

Hello there, people who live in northern climes are a hardy lot. They don't let a little snow stop them :) I learned this from my sister who lived in Norway. When it snowed the snow shoes came out and up the mountain they would go :) My relatives in ND are the same way. Have a great weekend you two.

It is going to be 70 here today. If the sun is out, I will be sitting in my Adirondack with a book soaking up vitamin D and not envying you one tiny bit.
The camellias are beautiful and daffodils are in bud. Winter jasmine has been in bloom for a couple weeks.
There is the tiniest hint of red appearing in the treetops... BUT it DID snow here this week! It did, I swear! I saw all 6 snow flakes! Or was that a chicken truck going by????
