You might not guess what's behind this lock. It surprised us when spotted at a Michael's craft store recently.
What was it guarding?
These pens and pencils — perhaps so they wouldn't "escape" and go coloring on their own?

Yep even the most honest might just need one color in their pocket rather than paying for it. They certainly have a lot of supplies ready to go for the coloring book fans.
You know you have to watch those pens and pencils. You never know when they will go on the rampage.
I guess nothing is safe anymore!
A store that's had problems with sticky fingers, I imagine.
What has the world come to when we have to lock up colored pencils. I know they're expensive but wow.

more likely to keep them from landing in a pocket and walking out the door. what a world we live in...
Sad commentary that pencils need to be locked, glad I live where pencils are not kept under lock and key.
