There’s been a lot of colorful activity at the F&P feeders this past week, due to an added holiday treat — pecans. No, I didn’t buy these for the birds, they were “rejects” from my shelling the past couple of weeks. Smaller pieces were saved and added to the feeder daily — much to the birds delight.
Visitors have included the blues brothers (or sisters?)This is the time to see red as in cardinals – male and female
Other visitors have included — juncos, chickadees, nuthatches, sparrows and lots of finches.And, a non-feathered spectator . . .

What fun to have all those visitors. I guess they like cashews almost as much as we do.
awesome bird shots, i enlarged each one and the cardinals are the winners for today. so beautiful. and oh no, no pecans to the birds.... the pieces could be put in recipes... oh noooooo i love pecans and refuse to buy them in the store due to the cost

Great bunch of photos. We have a lot of bird activity too. No Cardinals or Blue Jays though, unfortunately.
