Beautiful fruit. You can look forward to the bounty of nature as we take the slippery slide towards winter. As least strawberries are still available and the first mandarins an oranges straight from the growers.

However are you going to be able to leave that peach tree? Put that on your list of requirements for your new home.

The fruit looks wonderful. Nothing quite like fresh fruit.

Those strawberries look marvelous. We had some fresh strawberries a few nights ago, but I don't think they were local. Soon.

Thanks Everyine for the comments. We are enjoying these berries fresh every day. This weekend, Grenville plans to make a strawberry pie, which we will share with friends.

Sandra, we will keep you and Bob in mind for that peach cobbler and apple pie. Let us know when you will be here!

Bea, the strawberries look luscious. About a month ago while home I was buying some great ones out of FL, they had the smell and the juicy taste. Best thing I'd found until ours start. Now on the road in PA I got suckered and tempted and picked up some at the market (WalMart, yuk) out of CA. Truly tasteless; I sliced mine into a glass of Pinot Grigio and that makes them tolerable and I put lots of sugar over Jerry's in a bowl, so with vanilla ice cream they were tolerable. But there is nothing like a fresh berry.
