By the time, the truck pulled into the CVS parking lot he was hanging out the back window. This truck was in front of our car, my cell phone was readily available and, like this pet, I was a passenger as well. You never know when a photo opp can happen.

I'd be worried that the dog would jump out of the truck. But that last photo did make me smile. I bet he's waiting for his family member to come back out. Did you get much snow this morning? hugs-Erika
As others have noted, the position in the last photo could be dangerous if the vehicle was moving.
Maybe he gets a treat at the CVS??
This is probably a regular thing with the dog. It would still make me nervous, although the dog looks quite calm.
