If you need a lift, here's some that might help.
I'm not sure where this lineup was taken as it was a roadside "grab shot" from a road trip.
Spring has arrived in our apt, thanks to the surprise gift of these colorful tulips yesterday. Thanks to my dear friend, Susan. These blooms were grown in our mutual home state of NJ.
Today is Earth Day, a day to celebrate the Earth, learn about the environment, and promote conservation. This year's theme, Invest in Our Planet, is a call to businesses to shift towards sustainable practices and hopefully one day will be a reality.
Enjoy Your Weekend, Everyone
Temps might reach the mid 60s on Saturday

When I look at that first photo, my first thought is modern mechanical dinosaurs.
Beautiful flowers. Happy Earth Day!
Love the photo of the "cherry picker" trucks...I think that's what they call them, although I doubt they are used to pick many cherries! LOL. That is a funny picture. And the tulips are lovely. Mine finally died, but we enjoyed them until Easter. Wish we could grow them here, but that doesn't happen. It will be in the 70's here today, which is actually quite pleasant. It's a bit overcast so that keeps the heat down too. I hope you have a pleasant and lovely day. It must be springtime there by now???
Happy Earth Day!
Happy Earth Day!
now I am pondering why they are parked in storage with the bucket UP like that. I can see why they store them but it is odd. love your tulips. I just stopped to ask GG why the buckets are up and the reason is to Prevent Theft.
Every Earth Day there are grand speeches and promises to do better from governments and citizens alike, and then we go right back to doing the same old thing, tossing our garbage everywhere, polluting streams and parks, using single use plastic, buying our drinks in disposable cups with plastic lids, and often plastic spoons or straws, illegally dumping trash, throwing our used tyres in the river.......and on on on. And now we have the war in Ukraine which is greatly contributing to pollution worldwide, destruction of humans, wildlife and their habitat, release of dangerous chemicals, soil compaction......and so it goes. It's simply business as normal, I'm afraid.
Those are beautiful tulips. I have a couple of daffodils blooming here finally. Must capture a photo or two.
Since I'm generally terrified of heights, those lifts are my worst nightmare.
The beautiful tulips are a welcomed contrast
Such beautiful tulips - don't they make your heart sing? I hope spring will come and stay in your corner, you have had such a long and cold winter.
I've got my mug of coffee made on milk and the daily paper here at hand...ready to kick-start my weekend! :)
The tulips are a delight to see.
Tulips are so lovely. Unfortunately, they must take like chocolate chip cookies to the deer, because they are always the first thing to go in the garden. Ours are long gone.
There seem to be enthusiasts for all kinds of vehicles, so why not "cherry-pickers"? Lovely tulips.
I remember the excitement of the first Earth Day! All the promise and hope for change there was. Here we are, over 50 years later, still fighting to get people to realize we have to save this earth. Humans can be slow to learn, I guess. Some changes have been made but we have a long way to go.
I'm told the trucks are parked like that to discourage theft. I guess that would do it! ;) Your flowers are beautiful. Happy Spring!
Just what is needed, thank you Dorothy!
Love the pretty tulips.
Cool photo of the lifts.
Happy Monday, Dorothy!
Such beautiful tulips.
Have a good week, the days go by so quickly!
All the best Jan
I need to borrow one of those cheery pickers to change a few light bulbs in our house!
I'm not a massive fan of flowers, but I do love the colours.
