Why? because something's missing . . .
This obviously non-working phone stand is downtown on Main Street here in Nashua near a new CVS store. It seems odd that is hasn't been removed. When is the last time you saw one of these and where?
Enjoy your weekend, Everyone.

They are not exactly ubiquitous for sure.
It's been a while. I don't even remember where or when I last saw a pay phone.
I've not seen one in ages....now I want to keep looking for the one that I've not noticed ;-)
I was wondering lately if there are still public phones out anywhere..ha..
On the previous post with the winding road, my guess is SE Pennsylvania. Andrea
we have searched for them and find not one anywhere in town. a thing of the past. I stopped to run a search and I am laughing my head off.
click on this link, there are hundreds of them in our little town

Hmmm - not sure, but I used to use them all the time.
There's actually one less than a block from where I currently live.
I see the non-working stands every now and then. Do they even have pay phones any more?
I cannot even remember when I saw one, last.
We had one in our town that was just abandoned by the company. I guess there was no one holding the company responsible for them to be removed.
Interesting...I haven't thought about payphones in a long while since I've had no need for one. Now I'm curious as to whether we still have any around here. Hope you and Pat have a nice weekend!
I don't think there are any left here in Hawaii.
Not often does one see a phone booth---much less with a half of phone. haha
