Anniversary Celebration

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes on our 17th wedding anniversary. We really appreciated your comments. Here's the beautiful way our day started with the delivery of this beautiful and very colorful floral arrangement. We've been enjoying its fragrance this past week and it's still going strong.
Two dear friends, who are also sisters, Margaret and Ruby, sent us this arrangement. It made us feel not only very special but very thankful. Since it was sent sight unseen, photos were taken and sent to both ladies with our thanks.

Our day was spent just being together, something we've heard can be difficult for some couples once they've retired. Luckily, we've never had that "problem." We took a "selfie" by our mill apt entrance, before going to for a walk, followed by a movie (Florence Foster Jenkins), then dinner at home accompanied by wine sipping and toasting — a perfect day.

We're especially Thankful for friends and family, including all of You.

Gorgeous Flowers and what a great gift. Glad you had a good time on your anniversary. We always have a good time together although sometimes with both of us being hot tempered we can't work together without getting into an argument but when we go out everything is fine. It is more difficult to stay together 24/7 that it was when we were both working. But we would be lost without each other. Your Gran's have just grown up so fast I can't believe how big they are now

Thank you for sharing pictures from your anniversary. Sounds like a delightful day together and I love the photo of you both. Those flowers are truly gorgeous; a very thoughtful gift. I wish the grands a very good school year. They are precious and I appreciate you and their mom sharing them with us.

What a lovely bouquet. The colors are perfect. Back to school is something I hated when my children were in school. It was so much work for Mom.

Belated best wishes for many more years of anniversaries. You have to go long more to catch us with our 49th coming up in October. Still, glad you had a nice celebration and enjoyed your day. Abput the 24/7 togetherness of retirement, we are both independent, have always had separate careers and interests. After I retired and we moved, I thought it would be a problem because Jerry even would go shopping with me, but that soon diminished. We do not spend 24/7 tagging along with each other, daily. I don't think either of us could stand that. I am off to the Y mornings, he exercises at home. We have friends and interests in common but still keep separate interests, we eat dinner together and then most evenings too. Even around home, I might be out weeding, pruning or trimming while he is doing something in the shop with the coach or mowing down the back hill. The most we are with each other constantly is when we travel in our motor home on lengthy trips. Yes we are each other's best friend, etc but we both need our space too. I think that's why we have such a huge home.

Wishing the kiddos a great school year! The summer went way too fast and it's hard to believe that school is in session already.

Happy Anniversary!
Yeah, I first met Bobby when he was in a stroller!
Never met Ellie but I remember buying her pink baby booties that said John Deere from back during your farmer Pat lifetime.
They grow up fast!
