It is a sign of goods gone past their best before expiry date.
Quite a juxtaposition and a heckuva sale on caviar.
Must be an answer for that.
I was totally surprised to see Spam Meals at our grocery store recently.
Maybe the caviar passed its best before date several years ago?

I would have loved to visit that pancake place in Your earlier post! Of course pancakes and ice cream is food groups, several to be honest :-)
