In season, there's a plentiful supply of peaches from our own small orchard. That means enjoying them not only at breakfast but also for dessert(s).
This past weekend, Pat made a peach pie as neighbors joined us for dinner on Saturday night.
On Sunday, he made a peach cobbler as we were invited to another neighbor's for dinner. That dinner invite unfortunately was cancelled due to a last minute family emergency, but not before Pat had already made the dessert. That's when we called former neighbors who were in town for the week to come and join us for dessert. Nothing like spreading the sweet treats around; besides it saves us from over-indulging.
This peach cobber recipe is fairly simple. If you don't have fresh peaches (or when they're out of season) use the best brand of frozen peaches available and reduce the amount of sugar. And, use a self-rising cake flour if you leave out baking powder and salt.
Easy Peach

- 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Oh my - I have SUCH a sweet tooth, but have to restrain myself in most cases. Both desserts look sinfully good!!
Oh, that looks wonderful! We have had some great peaches from the grocery this year, but I do miss the ones my parents used to grow themselves. We would get them by the bag about this time of year. We have one peach tree in our yard, but the squirrels have claimed it as their own.
Many years ago visited friends in Mullica Hill, NJ. Fresh peaches from the orchard. We made some kind of dough that was not too sweet. Served the whole thing with sweetened warmed milk. Mercy Me!!!

I put on 5 lbs over peaches last month. I grill halves with a coating of basalmic, brown sugar and seasonings. Put a dollop od=f sour cream for garnish.
Grenville can come visit me any time. He can also bring you as long as he brings a cobbler.
I'm not sure why I don't like cooked peaches because I sure like them raw. Still your offerings here might have changed my mind if I had a chance at them.
How wonderful to have your own peach supply and a resident pie maker too. Wish I was a neighbour.
My mother would occasionally make a cobbler or a pie with peaches. She'd pick up quite a lot of peaches during market season and freeze them for whenever she and Dad wanted peaches for dessert.
Looks just yummy! Will have to try your recipe on our Georgia peaches!
One of my favorite desserts!
Yum, yum! I love peaches! I'm going to copy and paste this recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Yummy, yummy! I am so envious of your fresh peaches. I really love peach pie, or just a nice juicy fresh peach.
