SADLY, these trees at Duke Farms, Hillsborough, NJ showed damages from “Sandy” slamming the east coast last Oct. Most likely these will be cut down as others have already been.
Isn't it something?! We still have a lot of trees like that around here from when the tornadoes passed through in 2011. It has been such a dry spring that the fire hazard has been high. I hope the recovery from Sandy continues and quickly!

poor trees, Sandy did so much damage. i do not want to see the giant that can use these toothpicks.

Wow, that is really splintered up. Such a shame when big trees like that are damaged.
so many big, beautiful trees were lost!! i hope people replant, so in 100 years these big trees are back!!
My first thought was that my newest neighbor might have come over to prune those trees :-) They look very much like his apple trees do :-)
