It's been a couple of weeks since my last post about gas prices on our 3-hour trip to Baltimore, MD for a post-anniversary celebration. This weekend we're on another road trip from our VA home to New Jersey for a family birthday celebration (more on that event later). This is a 5-hour trip going through parts of VA, MD, DE, and NJ.
Contrary to some news accounts that they were on the decline, gas prices have NOT improved. Here's the range we saw along our route — $3.69 to $3.79/gal. Luckily, we were able to fill-up for $3.65/gal when we reached NJ. One thing we've noticed is that many stations will feature a low (relative term) price on top, sometimes in larger numbers, with the notation that this is a "cash price" and the credit price is sometimes as much as 10 cents higher. Unfortunately, you sometimes fail to see that distinction until pulling in and then have to quickly exit.
Just wondering: Does ANYONE pay cash to get a lower price AND have things gotten any better in your area/country?
SORRY, but the photo collage is NOT clickable to enlarge. We are traveling this weekend and I'm using a MacBook and the MarsEdit blog program. This program doesn't offer many of the features of Microsoft Live Writer, which only works on PCs. Sadly, there's nothing as good for Mac users yet. BUT, like LW, you can create blogs off-line, UNLIKE in blogger.

Have a good trip. And if the gas seems a little too expensive just comfort yourself with the thought that you are not travelling in the UK where the current price works out at $10.60/gal!
i think it's still cheaper then bottled water ;)))
i nearly fainted yesterday when i put 8 and 1/2 gallons in my Vue and it was 30.00.... not better here at all.
Gas prices are about the same here. Just be glad you don't buy 30 gallons every other day like me!
Although there will likely be fluctuations, high gas prices are here to stay
The price has actually fallen some here now but way to little!
Have a great day!
Christer.
The prices sure haven't improved here. I think it is still around $3.95 a gallon here.
It is very distressing. I just filled up my Hyundai Sonata for $60 yesterday.

$4.92 a U.S. gallon where I live here in central B.C. And we export gas to you (the State). That is regular by the way ... my car takes premium.
