Bad parking habits apparently are not limited to drivers here in New England as this photo was taken in LA, that's the state, not the California city..
Thanks to everyone for your comments on my earlier post about damaged luggage and the loss of costly socks. There's been a good ending. Allianz, travel insurance company, covered the full cost of the luggage (always good to save receipts) and Darn Tough replaced the three pairs of lost socks at no cost. You can be assured this is one company that will always have my business in the future. However, Delta Airlines is definitely not on my favorites list.

Some people just feel more entitled to ignore the rules than most of us. It has little to do with money or social class.
Wow, that was some parking job! LOL. I'm so glad you got reimbursed for your luggage and also got new socks. I'm sorry for the hassle you had to go through, however. Customer service on airlines has gone way down. Oh, you are still kind of chilly up there! Today we started out at 60, and will go up to 84. We might get a little rain on Sunday, but not enough to do much good, but still we'll take any of it. Have a wonderful weekend, and stay cozy in your nice socks!
You are so right about saving receipts and having great travel insurance. How frustrating to have to go through so many hoops, especially when something isn't one's fault at all.

i would have left that driver a "kind" note. saying i know they did not mean to block the walkway AND the handicap curb ramp, but they did!! and i might add that i hope they get a ticket!! glad things worked out with the luggage...i am not a fan of delta!!

Well you got some of this back, but it's really the principle of the thing. They take very poor care of something you pay them for.
Today I saw a car parked so close to a restaurant that the front bumper was actually touching the building. If it went even half an inch further, it would have been a crash. Have a super weekend. hugs-Erika
