Home in Nashua, NH

We landed at Logan Airport, Boston, on Tuesday afternoon
Portugal was a whirlwind adventure and now we're back in Nashua, NH, catching up on things at home including sleep.
All of the hotels included a breakfast buffet
Tours are not for the faint of heart and can be very exhausting with full tour days.. In order to see so many places in a limited time frame, it was necessary to change hotels several times and to spend hours on a tour bus.
A very large indoor farmer's market with produce, bakery items and fresh fish
Our group was a large one with 43 travelers. Our NH contingent consisted of 13, the largest group was from St, Louis, still other folks hailed from OH, NY and CO. Within a few days, we learned the first names of most other travelers and are hoping to keep in contact with a couple..
There were many monuments and historic sites to see
Also, visits to local artisans, like this pottery studio
A lot of photos were taken both with a digital camera and cell phone, so it will be a while before I go through and merge them and select ones to include in future posts. I'll also be creating a photo book as was done for previous trips.
Daytime temperatures ranged from the mid to higher 70s
Night time dining in outdoor cafes was  popular in every city
There will still be a couple of posts about our road trip to parts of PA which happened a couple of weeks before this adventure.
Colorful flowers were in every city visited
Thanks for all your well wishes in previous comments. I brought my iPad along amnd hoped to keep up on your blog posts. However, most days were so full that little free time was left for other than sleeping in the evenings, especially when dining in most cities visited started after 7 pm and ended after 9 pm. Internet service was also not as good as here at home and we turned off cellular data to avoid any charges. That said,  WhatsApp is how we kept in contact with family and friends while traveling as we can call and text over wi-fi, free of charge.

To be continued — more about our adventures to come in future posts. Travel is exciting for sure. While catching up takes a but of time, we’re thankful to be able to explore and learn and then to share with everyone. Thanks for coming along.

Love seeing your photo collages...may I ask what app you use to create a collage? Is it a camera function or editing program? I need to have that in my abilities!! Thanks so much for sharing your journeys!

Welcome home.
Those breakfast buffets look delicious. And in my experience in Europe real plates and cutlery are used and the hotels do not contribute to the rising tide of plastic pollution enveloping the world. Aside from that, it is a much more pleasant experience than sawing into a styrofoam plate with a plastic knife.

Barbara R, thank you for the compliment and creating collages is the easiest way for me to share multiple photos. There are many free apps that let you create them. The one I have been using is called PSexpress which is free, but like most offers, includes “in app” purchases that I avoid. Hope this helps.

There are many Portuguese people in Hawaii so I have a special interest in Portugal. I love outdoor dining!

I agree with your assessments that touring is exciting but exhausting and the European dining hours are way too late for me :-)

The food looks so good, and almost American. The flowers are gorgeous, some of which I have never seen before. I love the sculpture on the bottom left of the collage!

Wow on that food! What a fun adventure. Most excellent.

You asked about my camera. I have two but the one that's taken the most recent shots is a Canon M50 Mirrorless Camera - though honesty, camera bodies come and go. The lens I'm using is a Laowa macro lens.

Was there something you wanted to know about the camera? Anything that I can help you with?

I have made photo books of a lot of our adventures and I cherish them, look through them from time to time. I look forward to your edits, when you put them up. I loved Portugal, although all we saw of it was Lisbon and the mountains to the north.
Your monument photos fascinate me.

The food looks delicious. Thanks for taking us along. We can enjoy the tour from a chair without the hassle of tour buses and walking tours that make you tired. However, when we were younger we did similar tours. I loved the tiles in Portugal.

Hello Beatrice or is it Dorothy?

Your trip to Portugal looks to have been packed with a wonderfully exciting range of activities. The trouble we find when going to a new country is that there is so much to see and do and one gets completely exhausted trying not to miss anything. Perhaps that is why we like to return to familiar places when one can delve deeper.

We look forward to hearing more of your adventures since Portugal is easy to reach from Budapest and yet we have yet to visit.

A whirlwind but amazing trip. Found these photos and your stories very interesting. I had an aunt and uncle who vacationed in Portugal every winter for 30 years. They loved the country and loved the people.
