Rainy Monday
Rainy Days and Mondays is the title of the 1971 song by The Carpenters. But, unlike in the song lyrics, today was not a day for being down or frowning. Instead, it was perfect for getting out between rain storms and taking photos in the Frog & PenguINN yard.
Water drops on plants in the front yard were good to practice macro shots.
Adding special effects to patio flowers in Picasa was fun afterwards.
There are still a few colorful blooms throughout the yard which made for colorful subjects. The overcast skies provided a soft backdrop as well.
That's not all, rainy days are good GREAT for napping and reading, both of which Grenville and myself did today. This week's weather forecast is for a few more similar days here.

You got some great shots! I agree with reading and napping being good for rainy days too!
Great pix...as always along with your choice in edits!!...:)JP
Splendid macro!
We've had more than our share of rain this summer... we can do without for a few days.
Such beautiful macros you posted!! I agree that rainy days do make for great napping and reading. Hope you have a wonderful week!
We at Josephina Ballerina just love a good macro! The grey upon grey clouds were beautiful today, and the salt tang of the ocean was carried on an easterly breeze quite far inland. I read, too, as Josephine played outside, having perfected the art of reading with one eye on the book and the other eye on her. A handy skill to have around here!
You made good use of an otherwise gloomy day.
Great macros of these drops!
Rainy Days And Mondays is indeed a beautiful song. I prefer I Love A Rainy Night. Look how clear and clean the air is. All of you pictures are especially crisp because of it. And they are all lovely.
Beautiful photos!!
We had puhlenty of rain and gloomy skies and even cool weather this summer. We are in the midst of about our 5 nicest days lately.
Beautiful shots!
