Meeting Gracie

Our PA anniversary getaway was great for places, but more so for the visits with family and friends and the chance to meet the newest family member.
This is Gracie, the new grand puppy, and she was the BIG family news in Lancaster, PA. This then 10-week old French bulldog had joined the family of granddaughter Lilliana, parents Coleen and Paulo and older grand dog Lola a few days prior to our visit.
Our visit coincided with one of Lilliana's soccer game which everyone attended, including Gracie. As expected, the puppy received a lot of attention from the adult spectators, who came to watch their children or grandchildren, but couldn't resist this puppy.
We learned that Gracie was a combination birthday and Mother's Day gift for Lilliana's mother, Coleen, but it was evident that these two have bonded.
While in Lancaster, we met for lunch and a catch-up chat with long time blog (Fun Times) friend, Doris, and her husband, Dale. It had been several few years since we last met face-to-face, so it was great to see them both again.

Bloggers become friends through online sharing, some we may be fortunate to meet, most will remain online connections. Like myself, many of you are also concerned when learning that something, joyful or sorrowful, has happened in their lives. Blogger Jon of Lone Wolf Concerto) posted this week that he's hospitalized in the intensive care unit of a TN medical facility. While I'm unsure of specific details, hopefully he would appreciate recovery well wishes from fellow bloggers, also your prayers if you are so inclined. (FYI, Jon's posts may be a bit more direct than some others, just saying.)
After seeing PA family and friends, taking a couple of train rides and seeing vintage autos, we headed back to NH. On an overnight stop in NJ, we met up with long-time friends, Jill and Arthur.

It was wonderful to see everyone, but it's always nice to return home—until the next road trip, of course. That happens this weekend when we travel to RI and CT for more family visits.

So wonderful that you are able to travel so much and see so many wonderful places and people, and even meet the newest member of the family, "Gracie". She's a sweetheart for sure! And I love that you are able to meet fellow bloggers as well. I don't know the ones you mentioned, but will definitely your friend in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you are enjoying some clean air in NH...those fires in Canada have certainly caused a lot of air/breathing issues for so many. Take care and God bless you all.
