Friday Funnies

Here's an unusual sighting this week ("doctored" up a bit in Picasa) . . ,
No, these are not prehistoric creatures caught on wires. Here's an actual view. Grenville told me these are wire insulators.

Enjoy your weekend, Everyone.
Even the snowmen outside our door are "Irish" today

I like the end it a lot and also like they're free form picture and can't pick a favorite.

Cool observation. Prehistoric ducks.

Especially with the picasa treatment, they do look the part!

Regarding your comment, it was quite cold the day of the parade, which might have kept some spectators indoors, but I tend to photograph where there are gaps in crowds when it comes to spectators anyway. What I did notice were a good number of store employees watching from their windows, and the same for apartment dwellers.

Don't listen to those deniers! Those insulasaurus wiritas are not extinct, just rare. They crawl along vines in their native habitat. These just got lost. Worry not, they always find their way back home. ;-)

I remember those lovely glass insulators that have become collector's items. When I looked at the photographs my thought was not prehistoric but post-apocalyptic. Guess that's the way I roll nowadays.

Fun to let our imagination run away, definitely prehistoric looking in that first photo. Thanks for the Happy St. Patty's greetings. Enjoy the rest of your weekend :)
