We're Falling . . .

Into a bit of cooler weather now in NH now, so it was time to get out the fall decos.
Scarecrow, Simon and Cyrus, are once again outside our apt door a second autumn.
There's also seasonal flags and a placard. The mini scarecrows, pumpkins and a bag of leaves were purchased at Dollar Tree. The garden flags are from our VA home.
It's fun changing the apt entry way for the seasons and holidays, plus there's no worry about weather damage.
It's also not very costly. This year's expenses were $3 for a couple more pumpkins and a bag of leaves. Everything else was recycled from last year.

Soon enough, we'll be re-decorating the entryway for the winter/holiday season. Last year, we really had a lot of fun! But then it seems some retailers are gearing up for the Christmas holiday early. Here's what was seen in a local Hallmark store 2 weeks ago.

This is way too early for us. we're going to enjoy autumn colors, Halloween and Thanksgiving first!

Still summer here... tho a few leaves are on the ground, the leaves won't really change until almost November.
But the Crape Myrtle is still in bloom and the fall azaleas are blooming. The first camellia to bloom should start next week, but they got trimmed back a lot, so it might take a little longer.
Phlox and roses still in flower. Busy watering newly planted day lilies from Sterretts'. Got a couple hundred daffodils to plant. If you were still here, I would be glad to share!

those flags are really cute, and I did laugh when you said you bought leaves... your entry looks ready for fall and I noticed Christmas is going out all over town here

That didn't take you long. We're not in that mode yet. Maybe because we have been distracted by getting new windows and the concomitant upheaval.

That is cute. Here the Hallmark and other card shops already start stocking Christmas stuff in August.

I like your fall display. It looks cute. I laughed too at the thought of buying leaves. Our trees are all still green here, but I suppose it won't be too long before they start changing.
