All Steamed Up and Whoops

No, that doesn't describe an emotional situation, but weekend dinner.

Chef Grenville, who really enjoys being in the kitchen, no matter whose kitchen, got a bit steamed up at the home of friends Sandy and Jim this past Sunday.

Then, we all enjoyed some steamed lobstah.

Now the whoops correction . . .

The recipe given in the Claws and (KFC) Slaw post for a KFC Coleslaw recipe had a mis-measurement:  It's 1/4 Cup of buttermilk, NOT 1 Cup and it has been corrected on the original post (thanks AC for the suggestion)

And, Thanks to NCMountainWoman for the eagle-eyed typo catch. Be sure to check out her Mountain Musings blog. And thanks to everyone for your comments on what you like or don't like about coleslaw and lobstah. (FYI - this KFC coleslaw recipe was one of the most popular side dishes at this weekend's get-together).

I am tempted to try the coleslaw, but why don't you go back and edit that post for future visitors?

GREAT suggestion, AC, and while unsure why I didn't think of that last night, it has been corrected there now!

It all sounds so delicious! I have never tried to cook lobster, and the area we live in is "beef" country.......but I do love the taste of lobster. Thank you for sharing the coleslaw recipe!

Thanks for the shout-out.

What more could you possibly need than lobster and coleslaw? We once lived in a neighborhood with a large common picnic area. It had a huge old cast iron wash pot connected to gas for the fire underneath. Twice a year we had Maine lobsters flown in and had a community feast. The wash pot was perfect and all the steam was outdoors.

I haven't had nearly enough lobster in my lifetime, but I do love it. I was in the North Carolina mountains this weekend and we saw there was a restaurant called "Lobsta's" nearby, but the reviews weren't good.

Thanks for the coleslaw recipe - I might try that sometime.

Where I live lobster is not readily available, so I haven't eaten much of it. Yours looks good!

North easterners certainly do have a thing about the pronounciation of r, don't they?

I only cooked lobster once in my life, it was not a good experience. However, if I see lobster on the menu I am overjoyed and only ordered on very special occasions I might add.

Sounds like a good meal. Haven't had lobster in ages!

I love lobster tail, but not the rest of the lobster.
