Spring and Snow (Again)

Outdoors, it looks like a delayed April Fool's joke today only it's NOT.

The calendar may show April 4 and Spring "officially" began a week ago today with snow too. But, this is the scene outside our window early today in Nashua, NH.

Yes, we know this is New England, but after a 70+ temperature day last Thurs, we suspect that Mother Nature has a humorous side (or just doesn't have a calendar)Maybe we should re-think putting the snowshoes in storage?

The roads were not snow covered when we went grocery shopping, just wet.

This local car wash we use regularly was closed today. It will be doing a brisk business once the weather has cleared.

These flowers purchased today brightened the mood indoors at least.
It's been a wild and sadly, destructive week of weather in many parts of the U.S. with rains, tornadoes, flooding and heavy snowfall in some states.

How is YOUR Spring going so far — any wild weather changes?

I went for a walk this morning. Bundled. In winter clothes. I did not swelter.

we are on the nippy side here in Virginia. I am wishing for better weather for everyone.

We had snow yesterday which has since melted, but it is still rather cold here. Oh well, I think spring will get here to stay eventually. Your flowers are indeed bright and cheery! :)

I am beginning to see leaflets on the trees. I think Mom Naitch has finally decided to relent and give us some spring.

It's beautiful here in NC but our Milwaukee daughter is lamenting another snow. And on opening day for the Brewers. And they are suffering political overload from tomorrow's primary.

Here in Eastern Ontario we seem to be north of the areas getting snow. We've had cold temperatures and sunny skies. It actually feels as cold today as it felt in February.

Well, at least you're not having to shovel it, although Pat may be lamenting that fact. We got about three inches of new snow yesterday, but it melted off our deck pretty rapidly. We've been having temps into the 40s in the daytime, so our snow cover is going pretty rapidly. A little early for us, so we have no complaints. Still enough mud on our road, so I haven't been to the car wash yet!

It's hard to go from 70 to snow, I am sure. Your flower bouquet sure is pretty, though. Yes, I thought of your snow shoes when I saw your photos!
You asked about John's sun hat for the yard. We actually purchased that from amazon a few weeks ago. It was on sale half price and it is something he has needed for a long time. He says it is very light-weight and cool.

Weather has just been weird. We haven't had a spring blizzard, but our turn is coming.

We are having freezing temps which will ruin all of the fruit trees that have bloomed.

We've mainly been up to our ears in pollen dust in Atlanta (which is a misery in itself), but otherwise a bit cooler than normal. My friend in Canada had eight inches of snow yesterday. Madness!

That is not fun when you expect Spring weather. We have the opposite problem we still have high summer temperatures when it is supposed to be cooling down.

I live in Hawaii, where the temperature ranges from the 70s to the 80s in April.
