Got Snow?

Today in Nashua, NH, the snowfall total from the current East Coast storm is . . .

0
Zip
Nada

Yup, not a single flake fell here this weekend — not even a flurry (or two).

That wasn't true for many areas along the East Coast hit with a massive nor'easter blizzard that blanketed states with the heaviest snow seen in years, shutting down Washington D.C. and New York City.

We phoned family and friends in PA, RI NJ, and DC, who were all hard hit as well, asking if they could send us some of their snow bounty  without hesitation, they all said YES!

The grands, Bobby and Ellie, shoveled out at their RI home where they got 8-10 inches.

Friends in southern NJ sent us this photo taken from their front door. Over 18 inches had fallen there by mid-day on Saturday.

In PA, "Grand" puppy Lola romped in more than 2 feet of snow in her back yard.

Her owners, daughter Coleen and husband Paulo, were kept busy clearing a path an estimated 2 feet of snow.

And, the only "flakes" found in our area were ourselves

Since there wasn't enough snow cover to snowshoe on Friday, we went for a chilly morning walk through Mine Falls Park. Yes, we know that there's a lot more winter to go and before long we will have more than our share of s-n-o-w.

Meanwhile, our family and friends were all safe. We hope everyone else was as well.

you wanted snow and got none, others wanted none and got a lot. we have friends and family with a lot of snow to. we wanted heat and have none. the 895.00 repair last Friday is working but another part quit. he can't come until Monday so on our coldest day of the year we are at 42 with high of 50, yesterday and today. we are fine, house is at 65 inside but that is cold for us. we have a tiny electric heater.
looking at your pics makes me feel even colder.

That was quite a dumping along the coast. That would be a pretty major storm even for you and us.

We got 22.4 inches here in Philadelphia and it was the fourth heaviest snowfall on record. The good news is that it is in the 40s this week so lots of melting. The bad news is that it will refreeze each night. At least it's not as bad here as my one brother who got 30 inches or my other brother who lives at the New Jersey shore and got major flooding. I will be glad to mail you lots and LOTS of this snow if you are really unhappy about not getting any. I wouldn't want you to miss out. Ha, ha!

Hope all your family is warm and safe.

We received 13 inches here in central Kentucky. A crazy amount for us!

So nothing reached You! I thought that since it was so bad in New York You too would get some eventually.

Over here it is now melting away and rather fast too :-) That will probably mean icy and slippery roads to work tomorrow I'm afraid.

Have a great day!

Christer.

Lola looks happy!

One of the photobloggers in Virginia thinks they've got thirty inches out of this storm.

We have not had more than 10 inches at a time this winter. Of course we have had several snows so far and more expected tomorrow. I like living in a part of the country where the seasons change. I complain about most of them like everyone else. I will take the cold over hot any day though.

We even had a dusting of snow in Atlanta, Georgia! It was nice not having the planes fly over our heads today on our walk. We are not far from the ATL airport and since so many flights were cancelled, it made for a quiet sky!

Great pictures! I'm glad to hear your family and friends are safe. We had the tiniest of flurries from this storm and that was it.
