S(n)O(w) Tired . . .

That describes the feelings of many folks this week — after 3 weeks of non-stop winter weather and all that its brought — shoveling, digging out, delays — to many parts of the Northeast, especially New England.

In Nashua, NH, there are many who want winter snow to go One Way — AWAY
Finding a place to sit is not easy unless you have a shovel along.

Even crossing the street is an adventure in getting access to the "walk" button . . .

Ice sculptures are nice, EXCEPT when hanging from building gutters . . .

Everywhere are mounds (and mounds) of snow in so many places and no place to put it.

We're getting out by "foot power" most days, which is challenging too. Many side-street walkways are narrow and/or snow-packed; street walking has become a common sight.

YIKES this Valentine's Day weekend, forecasters are predicting a(nother) snowstorm for parts of the Northeast, and especially hard-hit New England.

GOOD NEWS — Spring arrives Friday, March 20, perhaps not soon enough for snow-weary folks. Here's a spring countdown if you're anxiously awaiting its arrival.

As for Grenville and I, we're enjoying this winter as it's reminiscent of growing up and living in our home state of NJ. (And, yes we are keeping safe.)

I sure know what you're talking about. I've gotten my car stuck in the driveway twice in two days. I drive a Prius and it's just too low to the ground to deal with all this snow. Luckily, my husband just got an Outback so we can get out when we need to. Yes, more snow this weekend. It's trying my patience and I like winter. Oh, well...

I feel your pain I do. It makes me wonder what I am complaining about as we have no where near as much snow as you guys. I will be posting photos tomorrow on my blog.

I love winter, but the Northeast is getting hammered this winter!

Please both of you be careful on your forays outside. I feel bad for everyone in your area with all that snow and now more on the way. Our snow is almost gone again. We do have a forecast for snow/rain in a couple of days if it makes you feel better.

Thanks everyone for the comments and concern. Quite honestly, we are doing very well and luckier than many others as we can stay indoors with no snow clearing worries. And, walking around gives us the chance to explore many new places and take our time doing so.

Do be careful while outside. Cannot believe the amount of snow in these photos.

Hope your new place has indoor parking. We have had a thaw and waiting to get some next week.

That is how my winters usually are like butn these two latest ones have been rather warm with just a few weeks with cold weather and very little snow. I must say I love these mild winters :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

I agree with you. It's too much snow.

Well I am glad you are getting what you wished for! ENJOY!
Personally, I will take my snow on the webcams!
It did snow here yesterday, for maybe 3 hours. But, nothing on the ground, trees, or roads.
It sure works for me. Guess that's why I have not been in my house in the Poconos in the winter since, um, 1977? Something like that...
Have fun!

It looks beautiful and almost other worldly ... from afar !!! Not enough to make me move North though. Have a nice Valentines and I hope you get some relief soon.

You have snow! Fun to see someone else stuck with it for a change! The weather is all wonky:)

We don't have nearly as much snow as you do, but count me in with the ones who are weary of it.

Yes you sure did pick the wrong winter to go north...what a wintry welcome. In southeast MN, our home, it's not even half as bad as New England, but the plains and mid parts of the country are now getting an icy swath. So we are enjoying St Augustine, much history, 450 year anniversary this year here.
