Calm Before . . .

The next round of winter weather that is threatening much of the East coast with snow, ice and rain today and into Wednesday evening.

All the advice we have heard is the same: If you don't have to go out, stay in.

That said, we headed out early Tuesday for a short trip within state to visit friends in Springfield, VA and also hope to visit a blogger friend and family in nearby cities.

This was the scene late yesterday afternoon with not a sign of the weather to come.

And, the scene this morning was just as serene . . .

Our thoughts are with everyone as we hope you all will be kept out of harm's way.

Lets just hope the storm dies out before it hits . We are to be getting a storm on Monday they say but with a bit of luck by then it will have diminished ! Lovely photos . Take care and stay safe and warm . Have a good week !

Beautiful photos! Love that golden color. We had 5 above this morning, and it's snowing lightly. We'll just be hanging out around home.

I am looking out our office window. No snow in sight and I think about the days before 24 hour weather and how I would have hated getting stuck in the 10 inches they are predicting. Guess my bad back is a good thing. It is currently predicting a storm, so stay in!

Beautiful photographs!

We'll get some snow on Saturday and possibly tomorrow as well but I think it all will melt away fairly quickly.

Have a great day!
Christer.

There isn't evidence of what's coming our way either... The sun is shining but, whew, is it ever cold!! Have a great time visiting family and friends!

Ready or not, here it comes! We've had several inches fall just since around 3:00 this afternoon. It's very pretty, though!

My thoughts are with everyone in the path of this latest storm. Hoping it is not as bad as they predict. We looked outside and it has started to snow :( Stay safe and warm!

Gorgeous, gorgeous shots.

I was remarking to someone today about how the kind of weather that's happening down south is the sort that we just take in stride and get on with it here.

It has been mostly cold here but the weather warmed a bit yesterday and a bit more today. It has been a rough winter for too many.
