Snow Job ?

snow on pinesEXACTLY what Grenville was thinking when his wish for more snow fell (very) far short of his expectations.  YES, we DID have more snow late yesterday afternoon that lasted into the early evening, but it was far less than forecast, a little over an inch and not 2-3 inches.yard snowStill, it was a pretty sight this morning in the front yard of The Frog & PenguINN. Unlike when we lived in NJ, there is no requirement to shovel walks within a certain timeframe after a snowfall, not that there was anything to worry about anyway from this snowfall. However, Grenville did clear the walkways in anticipation of any prospective buyers. And, sure enough late this afternoon, we saw folks driving around the property AND stopping to pick up an information sheet. We sure hope that the St Joseph statue buried near the realty sign above wasn’t too cold to help out. (If you missed the post about WHY it’s buried there, you can find out HERE.)house in snowLots of strange tracks could be seen around the yard in the fresh snow . . . birds, humans, cats. dogs, rabbits, and ?snow printsLast weekend, Grenville lit a fire and sat on this back patio, but not today. Most of this snow was gone by late afternoon as temp warmed into the 30s so he might be out there tomorrow.

back patio snowWarmer temps are predicted for next week with daytime highs into the 50s and possibly near 60. But, we’re keeping out the snow flag, just in case the forecasters are wrong — AGAIN. yard in snow2

Todays fire was on the main patio. Nice, sunny, could smell the bread baking. You should have been there.

Not much snow here either but it's still very cold...16 tonight. Brrrr! I guess I will believe it when I see it, 50 degrees here too by the middle of the week. We shall see....

Hope your lookers become interested buyers!

We got more snow here too, but we didn't get a whole lot. We're headed for an ice and freezing rain storm tomorrow night, but we are supposed to get warmer temps after that.

Such very pretty photos. Last week was our coldest thus far but a warm up is expected this week. I have to drive John into Atlanta for a dr. appt. on Wed. so I am hoping for nice weather.

Yes, the weather seems to be doing a number with another blast moving across this week. We remain warm and toasty on the Gulf Shores in the sun. Watch what we miss at home. I did St Joseph with my Uncle's home in PA finally in September. I did not bury him, I merely left him on the kitchen shelf overlooking the inside and what used to be gardens outside. Within a week we had an interested buyer, we'd just returned home to MN. That became the buyer by end of October, with ups and downs such as the real estate mkt does these days, so I believe in St. Joe. My realtor told me that of 9 current sales at that time, 8 of us had done St. Joseph. I pledged a generous donation and have been following thru on that, still wanting to find one special place to donate more to. Good luck and stay warm.

Apparently, we are due for snow on Monday, freezing rain on Tuesday, and rain on Wednesday.

I love looking at tracks in the snow. It's funny how many there are. We must have a lot of animals cross our yard that we never see. I hope St Joseph is working out for you!
