Dad’s Day 2012

Some chirps for dads  — today, June 17,  is celebrated as Father's Day, in the U.S.
barn swallow collage
And, some funny comments too . . .
“A father carries pictures where his money used to be.”  Author Unknown
"A new father quickly learns that his child invariably comes to the bathroom at precisely the times when he's in there, as if he needed company. The only way for this father to be certain of bathroom privacy is to shave at the gas station.”  Bill Cosby
“When I was a kid, I said to my father one afternoon, 'Daddy, will you take me to the zoo?' He answered, 'If the zoo wants you, let them come and get you.”  Jerry Lewis
“I'm so ugly - My father carries around a picture of the kid who came with his wallet” - Rodney Dangerfield
Happy Father’s Day to Grenville and dads everywhere !

Hi Beatrice,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I will definitely remove the word verification. I find it annoying myself. I forgot I had this set in my settings. Hope your having a wonderful Father's Day with family.

Blessings,
Judy

We will soon have a nest outside our front door, a gold finch has nested in a decorative item above the newspaper box. I had the photo and details on Facebook. After I didscovered the nest, I let it be and our bird book says 12-14 days for the 6 eggs to hatch..we may be on another trip then, so will miss that activity after making all these accommodations for Mama Finch including not using that door.
