Gas on the Rise . . .

Are gas prices UP in your part of the world?

A week ago, gas prices here on the VA eastern shore were the lowest in months – $3.13/gal. Yesterday morning, prices at ALL local pumps were $3.15/gal.  But within a few hours, they had increased, not by a few pennies, but 10 of them!

On a brighter note – THANKS to fellow bloggers who exchanged Christmas cards with us. We enjoyed your notes and photos. The cards brightened our holiday spirits – Happy New Year to ALL!

Yep, prices are rising here. For some reason I think the powers that be will try to keep them as low as possible until the November elections are over. Then all bets are off.

Unfortunately here too, prices are moving upward yet again. We had been at $3.21, (less a 4 cent discount or local guy gives us for paying cash) Now it is up to $3.26 but I expect it to be higher tomorrow. Our corner of southeast MN pays the same prices as WI across the river because of the Qwik Trip Monopoly, but we buy from a local independent. By driving 15 miles it is usually a dime cheaper in MN.
