There’s something about seeing older cars that’s always great, cause they sure don’t make them that way any more – much the pity.
Last weekend’s Harborfest celebration in neighboring Onancock, VA included a car show. There’s nothing like seeing a group of these vintage vehicles. Of course, these were way before “my time” and maybe yours too. (Elaine this post is especially for you and Marty.)

Very nice! We enjoyed the car show very much! Marty is always up to go to a car show and there were lots of lovely oldies at your Harborfest. Sadly, I only spotted one or two that are older than I am....
There's a small seafood place the Prez & i used to go to in CT where the "oldies" (the cars & us!) would congregate...:)JP
Yep, I remember most of these being on the road. Here is another "oldie". . . when I first married and we bought our first car, my income could not count in applying for the car loan because. . . drum roll, please. . . I was "of child bearing age."
OH, yes. I saw the 55 Chevy... My own first car was a 55 BelAir, but mine was green and white. It was 10 years old when I got it...
Overseas, the diplomat field fleet used 57 Chevy's for years. I think those were Chevy's best years.
You have some nice Images of the great Classic Cars that I have always enjoyed. I was in my teens when some of these car's came out, but most of them I remember. The big "Muscle Cars" of the 60's will never die away. This was the age when cars were built so much better than today. I have a personnel Die Cast Model Collection of just some of the Classic cars that made what cars are today.

JP, where in CT? family members live in New London, Groton and Stonington. SOmerville, NJ where I lived prev. holds "Crusin" every Friday night along the downtown street and it's grown so large over the years.

I can still feel the scratch seat coverings of my grandpa's old 49 Dodge. It was of course gray brown and simple inside and I think I can smell the dust yet today, fifty five years ago. I suppose there had wool in the material.
These are great pictures. I always love seeing all these old vehicles on display and looking shiny as if they're new. :)

Daisy,not only do they look like new, but the owners are out there dusting them off at these outdoor shows - very high rennovation and upkeep.
