“Grand” Update

Thanks for all the well wishes for our new (very first)granddaughter and road trip. All were very much appreciated by Grenville and myself.

Our blog posting will be sporadic during our 2-week RI road trip. We’re staying in an extended stay with a very slow internet connection. It even has trouble sending out regular emails.

The new granddaughter #1 and older grandson #1 are both doing well and so are their parents. Already, at just 1 week old today, Elizabeth has taken her first Wal-Mart shopping trip.

WHY?
Being a girl, she went clothes shopping – what else?

E needed some clothes because she was running out of outfits to wear. Despite getting gifts of 0-3 month clothing, most outfits really are too big. At 6 lbs, she is a petite little girl – even preemie clothes are too large, but at least smaller.

Already she is a John Deere girl. Despite what you might be thinking, grandpa Grenville did not get these pink booties.

booties JDeereThese were courtesy of our VA eastern shore friend, Possum.

And, these outfits too will have to wait awhile for E to grow into them . . .grandma-grandpa shirts0725 (5)No guessing needed to know who gave these outfits.

Yes, all the garden to go travelling veggies from the F&P garden were delivered to family members. from NJ to RI.

Just wait, she will be filling out those clothes very quick. WM has some adorable clothes for babies, I cant help myself taking a peek when I would go there. Grandbabies, what a blessing from the lord. I pray you have a safe stay and safe trip home.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the visit, but what's with the slow internet? At least you got this post up -- with pictures even.

Yes folks, it is hard not to resist the urge to spoil grandkids, especially when they live 10 hrs away. Yes, Lois, Tammy, Christine, and Sandra the little outfits are very cute. At her present size, it,s like dressing a doll, Lois.
AC I got lucky on uploading this post as it didn't have the usual number of photos!
Thanks John we are already having a great time!
Steve, nice thing about spoiling grandkids is that we can leave.

Ah, well... she will grow into the booties... then I will get her the next size!
Glad you are having fun. How lucky to have a little girl to buy things for. Personally, I am tired of camo! Not one girl in 3 generations.

It's so much fun buying things for the grandbabies! Before you know it those outfits that are huge on her now will be ridiculously small.....
