Friday Funnies

These funnies were seen as we drive on Rte. 40 in NC last weekend.

car grillCurious as to what was on the back of this car, we took a zoomed-in look . . .

car grill (5)

This brings tailgating parties to a new level. Want one too?

Get it here (only $400).

This motorist drove prepared for any gas shortage along the way. NC got gas

just what i always wanted, a tail gate grill. wow, what will they think of next. our truck is our baby and we would never ever cook on it, hubby treats it like it is a child. hummmmm on the last photo... good way to entertain yourself on the highway.

Have grill will travel. That is a hoot. I guess I have seen them at pregames, but didn't know they were attached to the van.

Funny pictures, Beatrice. The gas cans on top are a sign of the times, I suppose. :)

I have a friend here in North Carolina who was ticketed for carrying gas like that. I think it's considered a fire hazard but we're allowed to have small cans of gas used for mowers, etc.

Now that is scary! Must be a law against carrying gas on the roof. We used to carry cans of water on the roof of our wagon in the Middle East, but not gas. We did have a second gas tank installed, however, kind of like a lot of pick-up trucks around here.
I agree, rednecks, no doubt.

You never know what you'll see on the highways of America! Thanks for sharing!

Seeing these sites along the highway is further evidence that having a camera along is always a great idea. It's even better when Grenville is driving and I just get to look for some fun photos. They certainly are out there!

Sandra, the tailgating gas grill was a new one to us too. Guess we don't get out much to places where these are used, Larry. Yes Daisy, Grammie, Ginnie, Possum, and Mama-Bug we thought the gas cans atop the car was quite novel and wondered too about the legality, but maybe they were empty...still seems like dangerous cargo.
